Hello to all who frequent here!

Part of my project work for the subject Product Design, which I am currently studying in school, requires me to have several reviews of a mass produced product to use in an examination of the said product. We have to find these reviews on the internet.

As my chosen product is the GameBoy Advanced SP, I thought: "Ah, I could actually ask real people (or at least semi-real, [joke alert]), whom I know to have probably owned this device and likely have 'tested' it for many hours. These people are therefore in a perfect position to write a short review of this item."

The review does not have to be long, two paragraphs at a good length, some good points, some bad points, a rating maybe, and an opinion. On the subject of the GBA SP. Stuff like button placement, size; screen light quality... etc.

Any participation would be greatly welcomed!

[Oh, and in this case it is not like you're doing my homework for me, I have already looked for reviews and could find some, but I thought that this way I could have some reliably spoken views on the subject!]

sorry man, I have a GBA and a DS lite as only handhelds. By the way, I have to do a reseacrch for school now too, which sucks.

That's okay. What are you researching?

How VWO (it's the best kind of high school in The Netherlands) students behave differently in class per subjects and teacher. But our teacher isn't sure if it's gonna work out well, so we might change it after a while. By the way, I think your research would work out betetr if you's review the ds (lite) (more people have a ds then gba sp), or just the normal GBA.

Yeah, I'd say you'd be better off researching the DS or DS Lite. Pretty much everybody here currently plays the DS Pokémon games.

It really does not matter what you play currently, surely people remember playing the SP.

I have thought about this long and hard, and all things considered the SP is the best in the range to examine. This is not a simple one piece homework exercise where you have to collect reviews, reviews are just one (integral, but) small part of this report.

And if you really want to know, in Product Design there is a design factor which is called 'Planned Obsolescence' where designers deliberately hold back certain technological improvements from one product to include it in the next so that they can turn out new products at a fast rate and so remain popular. The SP is both a result and a victim of this factor, it does not offer a significant advantage over the GBA, as it uses the same software stuff, but it has 'swish' new features such as a lithium ion battery, flippy screen, and a front light. Basically these could have been put on the GBA, but then there would have been this too long period with no new products, and no-one buying anything from them and giving them money!

I'm a little confused regarding what exactly you're asking for; you want BGF users to review the GameBoy AdvanceSP?

Um, yeah. I put it in the Video Games section because I know that there are people who played Pokemon at that time!

(Would you like to elaborate what made it particularly confusing, so I can rectify that above?)

You sure do have a funny way of asking for a favor.

Sorry, sorry, that was uncalled for. I was not a happy person that day, which is unusual, for me. (Well not the being unhappy, just the letting it get to me.)
