Well, I haven't played a Pokemon game since Emerald (Excluding the nostalgic revisits to Snap and Stadium 2) and haven't watched the Anime since Gen II.

I used to be a massive fan, yet all my collectibles, bed sheets, cards, games, have dispersed over the past 9 years or so. Its kind of sad really.

I managed to pick up a 3ds XL for fairly cheap with pokemon Y recently, wow. What a decision, it's rekindled my love for pokemon. So I'm back, after around 9 years, I missed pearl, diamond, platinum, HGSS, black/2, white/2. Hopefully I didn't miss out on too much.

Hope this wasn't too much of a tangent, this post was originally to say hello to the community. So, Hello !

I'm around 12 hours i to Kalos, I hope I can find a growlithe soon :) everyone has a favourite !
 
Hi, welcome :) You started with Emerald I see. You must be excited for the Ruby and Sapphire remake, huh(it should have features from Emerald included). Those DS games are also pretty good, but I enjoy the older games just as much myself. I hope you have a great time here on the forums.

Welcome, then. If you enjoyed Gen II (seeing how you've played Stadium 2), you might want to try Platinum or HeartGold/SoulSilver (ESPECIALLY HeartGold and SoulSilver). Black and White were too much of a single quest-chain type of game with little to do after beating the game, and Black 2 and White 2 were kind of slow throughout all of it, but bigger than their predecessors. HeartGold and SoulSilver were amazing, if you liked the 2nd Gen and ever decide you might care to try one of the older games. And welcome, again. I hope you enjoy everything here.

Thank you! Emerald was the last I played before Y, I started with blue ! I had every game until emerald then I fell out of love for some reason :( I am excited about ORAS! I will be buying ruby, it was announced the week after I started playing again ! Good timing eh ?

I was looking at buying soul silver soon, maybe after I beat E4. It did look the most worth it, out of the ones I have missed anyway!
