It's just an idea. I don't think GF will do this but it would be awesome if they did. Post your opinions on this.

Why? No other pokémon game has had a sequel. It's only been completely new ones and remakes.

um, GSC to RBGY. Those were sequels.

It worked then. It may work now. But one of the best part of it being a sequel was we got a new region and the old region, butchered though it may have been. So, unless they intend to give us all of Sinnoh along with a new region and good story to tie the two, then I'm afraid I have to say no.

You could say GSC was sort of like a sequel. The storyline of many of the characters in RBY advanced. Different gym leaders, elite 4, and a cameo appearance by Red. It wasn't much of a storyline advance, true, but there were changes.

This might be true... There isn't a lot of hope that it will happen though.

GSC (aka Pokemon 2) is RGBs sequel.

Edit: Über ninja'd

Well, I think i'd be cool to go back to the reverse world to find cyrus lives there. Because he dissapears after you battle giratina in the reverse world on platinum.

No, I meant no games have had sequels set in the exact same place. GSC did have Kanto, yes, but Johto was the main deal there. Anyway, I don't think Sinnoh has enough to be covered three years after the events of Team Galactic. We already see that TG disband, so unless they pull a GSC, it's a no-no.

EDIT: I got ninja'd four times. o_O

lol, the pokemon world is huge! We only have seen a small fraction of what it is. Just imagine if the regions were actual regions of Japan. That could mean well over a million pokemon species in the entire world!

Perhaps it's good that we see new regions rather than older ones.

No, TG was never disbanded, the remains is whit Saturn somewhere, but Mars, Jupiter and Charon quited.

Well, Saturn is left with the pieces, but Charon is in jail and the other two skipped out. And even Saturn admitted that what had been happening may have been going to far. So, yeah, I'd say Galactic is done. Even the grunts had little faith in it.

I agree with you there. The grunts wouldn't take over, seeing as half of them don't even like what they do.

Is it needed? No.
Is it wanted? No.
Will it happen? No.

There's your answer =p

It just won't happen - for obvious reasons that I'm too lazy to list. It's definitly a new Generation, in a new region. Full stop.

If you think about it, it's definitely do-able, atleast as far as the story goes. I mean, the whole point of DPPt was Cyrus using the Dragon Trio to re-create the universe. Who's to say he can't find out about Arceus, their creator, and try and capture it for the same ends?

If anything, I could atleast see them doing something like that for PokeSpe, assuming they ever do a GenIV remake.

EDIT: I got ninja'd AGAIN.

 I suggest you go hide somewhere safe before something else happens.

I'm gonna throw in something else that nobody has mentioned yet: Cyrus vows that he won't give up on his plans. Sure, TG pretty much disbanded... except that Saturn kinda runs it now but they're no longer out for world domination... but if somebody like Cyrus says that he's not gonna give up (he says this in all 3 games), I wouldn't exactly let my guard down if ya get mah drift... especially since it can be possible for him to come out of the Distortion World, as you are able to go in and out of it through Sendoff Spring.

Now, I'm not saying this makes it 100% possible of Gen V being a sequel to Gen IV, but I think it's a little something to consider. And like what was brought up earlier, G/S/C were sequels in a way to R/B/Y.

To break it down here, I say that it's not impossible for them to do that with Gen V. But the thing is, we have no idea of what they plan on doing with it besides it having a new region and new Pokemon. CoroCoro in either April or May (I can't remember) is supposed to be covering on new info of these games, so we shall wait and sees.

I do not want a sequel to D/P/P. By a small percent, they were my least favourite Pokémon game (they were still awesome, just every other Pokémon game was better in my opinion).

...I change my mind about that a lot but oh well. I do think D/P/P's story just can't be expanded anymore, and if it is expanded it'll just be a shitty sequel.

I expect a remake in Gen V. I don't think there will be sequel. I guess we will go back three years ago or another timeline.

What I was hoping was cyrus comes back (after you beat the main villan team for the game so you'll have the maint eam and team galactic) and re-starts team galactic. This time he's trying to make the reverse world swallow up the real world, thus creating the perfect world he wanted. I want him to succed but with the power of the main legend of Gen V and arceus you reverse it and everything goes back to normal.
