The Sinnoh Region. A vast region, home to a variety of Pokemon and a vast mythos surrounding space and time. The first stop for many new trainers may just be Sandgem Town, home to the renowned researcher Professor Rowan. Professor Rowan has studied evolution for many years, though until recently, he has begun to collaborate with Professor Sycamore in the Kalos Region to study Mega Evolution. Never mind that for now though. Today, we join our three heroes as they set out on their own journey across the Sinnoh Region. There's a danger looming over the horizons though so be careful. Now on with the show!

Chapter 1: The Journey Begins

It was rather early in the morning, barely past 8 am. The DELELELEWOOOOPS of the Kricketunes have ceased and the chirps of rising Starly seemed to replace them. After arriving in Twinleaf Town via boat, Justin was quick to get dressed and head out towards Sandgem Town. Just was your average 13 year old boy, starting his journey on this fine day. He was a rather slim boy who stood at about 4'9". His eyes were green and his hair was blonde and it was rather messy, mostly due to styling. He wore a red and black plaid short sleeved shirt, right over a white tshirt he wore. He also wore a pair of cargo shorts and black shoes. He seemed excited enough about starting his journey as he walked along the road to Sandgem Town.

"Alright. Professor Rowan's lab should be in Sandgem Town. Oh man this is gonna be great! I can't believe I'm getting my very first Pokemon!" Justin excitedly told himself as he walked down the dirt road that led to Sandgem Town. He was very close and soon, the boy would discover a sign on the side of the road reading 'Sandgem Town Ahead.' "Welp...Here goes nothing." he said as he headed past the sign. This is where his journey begins.

Moments, perhaps minutes later, a jet had landed in the distance. A fairly light-dressed girl waved the pilot goodbye as she headed in the general direction of Sandgem Town. The Garchomp beside her, Drake, trudged beside her, almost as if to protect her. She saw a boy in the distance - who could that be? Shrugging, Flynn padded Drake on the head, and emerged into the little town. The freckled teen made a beeline for the lab - for she too was excited to get her first Pokémon. The Garchomp shook its head at her sudden childishness, and followed like a guardian might.

A tall, blond young man crossed the threshold into town. His name was Vincent Davia, and he was here to behind his career as a trainer. Vincent was no stranger to outdoorsy type stuff. Growing up in Colorado, like most kids, he'd spent a lot of time hiking in the mountains. It showed. He had a toned build, and his somewhat broad shoulders were accentuated by the bomber jacket he wore. Underneath that, a black tank-top clung to his chest. He was a bit young to be described as 'built', but he'd get there in a couple years. The point was, the walk from Twinleaf to Sandgem was no problem for him, and he headed for the lab. On the way to the lab, he noticed two things. The first was a cute redheaded girl, about his age. The second was a Garchomp.

"They give out Garchomp as starters?" He asked. Vincent ducked into the lab. "Hey, can I have a Garchomp?" He asked. He'd heard they mostly dealt in unevolved Pokemon, but if he could get a Garchomp, he wasn't going to look a gift Pokemon in the mouth. Then again, he couldn't help but wonder if he'd get the full experience if he didn't get to watch his first Pokemon evolve on its own.

"Uhm, this isn't my starter, this is my mother's Pokémon." she replied, stifling a giggle. "You get to choose from three basic-staged Pokémon."

As Justin was on the road to Twinleaf, something seemed to grab his attention along the way. Noises to be exact. He turned around and he noticed a pair behind him who seemed to be just about his age. Then there was a Garchomp. Justin has never seen a Garchomp up close like this, so naturally, the boy was curious. He ran over toward the three, clearly seeming eager. "Whoooa. Is that a Garchomp? He asked the girl.

"Yeah, his name is Drake." Flynn replied, "but he's not mine. At least, not at the moment. The name's Flynn," she introduced herself, pushing open the lab door and walking inside, the dragon following her like a guardian might.

(Wanna let Heroic Sociopath post after before I post again.)

The boy looked up at the Garchomp in awe as he walked alongside the small group. "Wow! I bet he's really powerful!" Justin said with a smile on his face. It wasn't long at all before he, along with the group entered Sandgem Town. It was a quaint little town that was home to a small population of residents. Some of the main points of interest included Professor Rowan's lab, a Pokemon Center, and a PokeMart. There was also a trail that led to the Sandgem Beach to the south.

Justin followed the girl to the lab which was rather easy to get to. It was one of the first few buildings one would come across in Sandgem Town. "Oh! My names Justin." he introduced himself before looking towards the guy who she was with.

Vincent decided it was just as well he wasn't getting a Garchomp right off. They were a lot of trouble to take care of, he'd heard. He entered the lab, looking at all the sciencey things that littered it. He was wondering where the professor was. So much so that he almost didn't notice when Justin introduced himself.

"Vincent. Vincent Davia." Vincent said. He opened a filing cabinet to check if Professor Rowan was hiding in there. Nope. Not under the desk either. He remembered reading a book about being a trainer. The best ones travelled in groups of three, with two guys and one girl. He was supposed to steal the girl's bike, but the redhead didn't seem to have one as far as he could tell.

Flynn advanced further into the lab, calling out for the well-aged Professor. "Professor Rowan?" She then added, "we're here to recieve our first Pokémon!"

Justin turned to the boy who pleasantly introduced himself. "Oh! I guess I should say its nice meeting you two." he told him as they headed into the lab. Justin walked in with the small group, only to find a rather empty lab. "Uhhh....Where's the Professor?" he asked as Vincent even checked the filing cabinet. "Professor?" he called out. As he walked in further, he noticed an open door in the back of the room. Could he be through here?

Outside, Professor Rowan was busy observing some of the Pokemon in the lab's backyard. He had a clipboard with him and he seemed to be taking notes of the Pokemon that were playing in the back. He could hear voices coming from inside the lab, realizing they must belong to new trainers. "It seems as if I have visitors." he said before turning back and heading towards back into the lab.

Vincent was checking inside a trash can as he heard steps echo through the lab. He turned around and saw the man whim he presumed to be professor Rowan. And...Was that...

"Is that a Pokemon, Professor?" Vincent asked, looking at Rowan's mustache.

Flynn had no idea what to tell Vincent at this point. "Hey, professor Rowan! My name's Flynn, and I've come for my own Pokémon!"

As Professor Rowan walked in, he seemed to hold onto his gruff and serious attitude. Most knew him to be a very kind man though. The first thing he was asked though just made him shoot Justin and Flynn a glance of confussion. "What? No, child. This is a mustache." he told him before sighing. "I persume the three of you are new trainers?" he asked

Justin chuckled a bit at Vincent's question before responding after Flynn. "Yeah! My names Justin Gaines. I'm here for my first Pokemon also!" he told him.

Professor Rown smiled at the group of eager trainers. "I bet you're very excited to start out. Today's trainers have always been more eager than those in the past. Just hold it right here. I'll be back with the Pokemon, your pokedexes, and your pokeballs." he told the group before heading into the other room.

(I'll have him bring out the Pomemon next post. On my phone.)

Flynn stood still, although excitement easily gleamed in her eyes. Drake, watching from a distance, also seemed to be grinning.

Justin seemed quite excited, jumpy even as Professor Rowan left the room. "Oh man! I wonder what I should choose! Uhh...The starters here were uhh..." he said, scratching his head as he tried to recall which starters this region offered. He knew his own region offered Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. He wasn't in Johto though.

Shortly, Professor Rowan came out pushing a cart that held their pokedexes, fifteen empty pokeballs, and three pokeballs containing the Pokemon he would offer. He approached the three. "Well you three must be very excited to start. Before we begin, I hope you know what you're getting yourself into. Being a Pokemon Trainer is a big responsibility. Now....Let's begin." He told the three before tossing the three Pokeballs into the air.

The first Pokemon to come out was a small green and yellow turtle like Pokemon with a sprout growing from its body. The next was a small little orange monkey with a flame burning from its rump. The last was a blue little penguin that had something that looked like a cape. Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

Just was quite amazed by the three Pokemon presented to them, though he couldn't really make a decision. "Whoooooaaaa! Check them out!" Justin exclaimed. He took a good look at the three Pokemon, scratching his head as he tried to decide which one he'd make his first Pokemon.

Flynn picked up the Piplup with gentle hands. The penguin in front of her squealed, its webbed feet thrashing playfully. "I'd like this Piplup!" The blue Pokémon clapped its flippers in joy, crying out in a jolly voice. "Plup! Piplup!"

Meanwhile, a female in a green jacket and dark blue jeans waited outside. That Garchomp would be due home. She knew Flynn wouldn't like it, but she didn't need a big, powerful Dragon-type looking out for her. No, she was going on a journey. Whichever Pokémon she'd chosen would be enough.

Vincent took the last Pokeball. He was shaking with anticipation. He wondered what starter he'd get. He'd heard that he could get great Pokemon like Chimchar and Piplup. He pressed the button, ready to look upon his new Pokemon.

"Karp! Karp!"

A magikarp flopped around on the floor. Vincent got down on one knee, the blonde young man poking it. "I love it!" He said, petting the Magikarp as he scooped it into his arms. He happened to glance outside the lab and saw a hot babe in a green jacket.

"Oh, hey, you a new trainer too?" Vincent asked, poking his head out of the lab. "You want to join our group? And maybe after we could catch dinner, maybe a movie..."

Justin noticed that Flynn decided to grab Piplup, leaving him with Turtwig and Chimchar. "Hmmm...Uhhh..." he muttered to himself as he looked between the two Pokemon as they looked up at him. He seemed a bit indecisive, though until the small little monkey actually took a few steps forwards, standing up right as it looked up at him. "Wha? Chimchar?" he said, looking down t the small little orange monkey. "You wanna come with me?" he asked it, smiling a bit. The small monkey nodded before Justin picked it up. "Alright!!! I'll go with you!" He said happily as he raised the monkey up, looking up at him.

Professor Rowan chuckled as he watched the trainers choose their Pokemon, soon grabbing their pokedexes and pokeballs in a small box. Wait...Where did that Magikarp come from. "Huh? Where did that Magikarp come from? I don't recall bringing any in here." he said before he approached Justin and Flynn, handing them the small boxes. "Okay so now in here, you fill find a pokedex and a few pokeballs to get you started" he told them.

Ventus narrowed her eyes in a glare. "Nice try, rookie." Beside her stood a canine-like electric type. Otherwise identified as a Manectric, a mega necklace rested upon its neck.

Clipping the Pokéballs to her belt, she stowed away the Pokédex into her jacket pocket. "Is there anything else we need to know?"
