I was looking at my Pokemon and a thought crossed my mind. What if gift Pokemon use received came in Premier Balls instead of normal Pokeballs? This obviously wouldn't change anything but the the aesthetics, but it would add some variety and a nice touch to receiving a Pokemon.
 
As a premier ball marks a 'special occasion' I'd say this is one, not just a buy 11 for 10 promotional offer. Would also give a variety to in-game trades and gifts then just the default ball.
 
yep. that would be a special occasion, but it would be rather epic to receive a Pokemon in a premier ball on your birthday then just any day.

It'll make me think that someone paid attention :)
 
I really like this idea. I've always wished the Premier Ball had more worth than just an extra ball when you buy ten Pokeballs. This would make it kinda special.
 
It would make them easier to spot too I guess
