You are fourteen years old. The demand for beachfront property is rising and workaholic Mom has carelessly whisked you both away to the costal region of Pacifia, a region south of Hoenn. Seeing it as a buisness oppurtunity, she is always away from home, leaving you to a life of boredom in the sleepy Seafroth Cove. So- after four years in the little village there's not much left to do, people to know, or places to be. Maybe you'll challenge the Gym League.
Who do you know in you hometown?
Eliza- The oldest person you know. She's nearing 90 years old, but has a personality of a hummingbird. As an expert class trainer, Eliza was a powerful trainer in her youth. Being native to the sea region of Pacifia, she bred and raised many water type Pokémon. Several of them have been given away as tokens to her respect or love. She once gave to her son a Seel from Dewgong, one of the Pokémon she once raised. She keeps them still in her care, living alone in Seafroth Cove, running a small fish & chips restaurant near the shore. Since you mother is hardly ever home, Eliza fills in the lack of parental attention. Sometime's she'd tell you wild stories of her training days, fighting close encounters with wild Tentacruel, or fighting the Elite Four of Sinnoh, stories to which you might give a half nod and a "Uh-huh. Sure you did."
Sooner or later, your boredom of Seafroth has led you to challenge the Gym League of Pacifia. Telling Eliza, (while avoiding being drowned out amidst her loud excitement) she finally tells you the story of her three favorite partners. This time actually listening, Eliza offers you one of the infants of her three partners. Your rival is also to recieve one. The last Pokémon will stay in her care.
Your choices include Seel, Squirtle, and Poliwag.
But what good is is traveling in a water region with no water transportation? Don't worry, Eliza thought of that too. The babies which she offered to you were carefully bred to naturally understand how to Surf, granting their trainer the ability to cross water with ease. Other Hidden Moves will need to be acquired throughout your journey.
Willow- Since you've lived in Seafroth, Willow has been your rival. Outdoing you in almost every aspect, your dislike for her just continues to grow. She is bitter and sarcastic, but attracts guys like bees to honey. She refuses to retire from taunting you- but amongst the flaws she still really is the only friend you have in this boring place. Since Willow was allowed the oppurtunity to become a trainer at the late age 13 instead of 10 by her father (who is infact quite wealthy and her only parent), you've begun to wonder how you survived four years in Pacifia without the thrill of battling. The odd part comes in as Willow was unofficially registered for Trainer's Leave, meaning she did not recieve a starter Pokémon at the beggining of her trainership. Even if she only could train wild Pokémon, she still could have left Seafroth before the exact year and day that you did. Is it possible that she was waiting for you...?
Paparazzi- While on the road of your journey, someone always will be looking over everything you do. Literally. Though it's unfortunate, you and Willow are the first to challenge the Gym League in quite a while, and the annoying TV masters Gabby and Ty are there to do just that- annoy trainers. Though it's an unfortunate truth, they serve as welcoming faces when you've reached the next town. You and Willow were the first to challenge the Pacifia League since Seafroth was populated. Seeing this as an oppurtunity to revive what they've heard used to be a lively network when Eliza was active, the media pests continue to follow the both of you, trying to recur what everybody used to know, being a thriving TV station keeping Pacifia somewhat more alive than now. (Basically they're a recurring gag who are storyline essentials)
There are six registered Gym League towns in the Pacifia region. One by one they will begin to appear here. There is only one place to start your journey- in your hometown.
(Constructive criticism welcome, citizen speech and the occasional route will be sprited out and posted here between storyline of towns. And no, it's not an RPG.)
