I've always thought we should have one. For some reason the video games board is almost only used for main games, and the spin-off games are as much part of the pokémon franchise as the anime, tcg and manga (who all have their own boards).

Also after lookinf through some other pokémon forums, I found out BMGf is actually one of the few pokémon forums not to have such a board.

So for those reasons I think we should have a board for the spin-off games (probably as a sub-board for pokémon video games) :3

I second this suggestion. It would also keep some spin-off game discussion off the legit game boards.

I believe that we used to have one way back in the day, before they merged everything.

I don't like the idea for one, as they are not taled about nearly as much, and if we got rid of it before, why add it again now?

Well even if such a sub-forums was to be made, I doubt if it would be active.

Because people want one. Plus it's more convenient for the Video Games board.

The TCG board isn't active, while it has 4 sub-boards. Plus I'm sure such a board would be more active than the TCG and Manga boards.

It doesnt matter if it's active..Bubbles RPG thread isnt tht active
I don't really see the point in making a sub-forum that would be dead as soon as its made. Sure, it would make the Games section more organised, but not that you really find many threads for discussing spin-off games in the Video Games forum.

I guess it could be done, but we don't really have much to talk about on spin-offs. However, I think it would be nice for it to be organised so that I can easily distinguish things that are related to spin-offs.

Things just like in the video games can be discussed. Starters, speculation on how towns work, what you think of certain teams in spin-offs, mystery dungeon rescue thres, speculating about the new games, simple question thread for spin-off games, etc.

There are plenty of things to talk about, usually the people in the normal video games board don't want to talk about it though, as they're only interested in the main games (causing the people who want to talk about spin-off games to not come there as much). In a seperate board we wouldn't have this problem.

I see...I associate the main board with the main games, so once again, the independent spin-off board is a great idea.

As a huge Pokémon Ranger fan, I'd love one. There are so many spin off games, and it would be nice if they had their own section, because the main series dominates the VG discussion.

I'm sure a spin-off board would be far more popular than the Fake Cards board. That hasn't had a post in months.

You mean Fizzy Bubbles? If you do, then that RPG isn't "inactive," it really spans three different boards: Bulba, Serebii, and UPN. UPN is the most active of all of them because most of the main features are there, and it is the place of origin for them.

If SerebiiForums can have 7 forums dedicated towards only the fourth generation alone (not even counting the sub-forums), I don't see why we couldn't have a single sub-forum made for spin-offs.

There's also the fact that spin-off threads are quickly buried by new threads in the video games forums. A spin-off sub-forum wouldn't be extremely active, but it'd be very convenient for people who just like to talk about them.

I feel this way. I think that when people post about spinoffs in the VG thread, they kind of get lost amid "who's your favorite gym leader/E4 member/champion/starter/fire type/water type/electric/grass/you get the idea" threads. What could have the potential to be an interesting, say, Almia folklore thread would be a little more noticed in a subforum specifically designed for spinoffs.

Plus, there are a fair few spinoffs - three Ranger games, lots of Mystery Dungeon games (five?), Colosseum/XD, the puzzle games.

So yeah, I think a subforum would be cool to have just for them.

Because we think that Serebii's decision to have 7 forums dedicated towards the fourth generation is a mistake.

That said, I'll consider a spin-off subforum.

As for the spin-off subforum... What about PMD2 Wi-Fi? Where would it go to? Will it go to Bulbasaur's Wireless Garden or as a subforum of the spin-off games?

Because Serebii has a ridiculous amount more members than Bulbagarden, and because, as evkl said, we don't want 7 Gen IV forums.
