Hello all, I've been browsing bulbapedia for awhile now. I decided to join its forums just to see if anybody would be willing to battle/trade or anything like that. I kind of messed up training my first pokemon team, and thus I've been working on a second one. Right now it contains Umbreon, Snorlax, Lucario, Gengar, Swampert and Jolteon. They are all about level 35 currently. I played someone on wifi who challenged me with an "ice" gym (all ice pokemon, including frosslass, glaceon and snover among others), and the pokemon I used did pretty good except jolteon (I may swap him out for my level 30 shellgon). I think Umbreon's my best right now with max hp evs+some sp. def/def evs, rest, payback, toxic and protect. Certainly he's one of my favorite pokemon, although Gengar's my favorite of all time and Jolteon is my favorite eeveelution (umbreon is a second favorite).
Anyways, only my jolteon got koed in that battle (mainly because I screwed up his moveset by giving him roar, which I thought I could use immediately). My umbreon destroyed several of his pokemon thanks to toxic and a chesto rest. My Swampert did the clean up job and the rest of them sat happy in their pokeballs. He's rematching me with a water gym apparently.
