My name is Riverwolf.

I am a huge fan of Pokémon and always have been, despite being stuck in Gen 1 until very recently (long story). I'm unfortunately not as up-to-date as most people here probably are, having never played any of the post-Gen I games except HeartGold these past two months(and a few dips into FireRed/LeafGreen), and lacking a 3DS entirely, but I intend to change that very soon. Coming from Gen I to now, with all the changes and additions, and all the new things I've learned, it's almost like a completely new game: familiar freshness is the perfect way to describe how it feels to me. (Especially when I discovered the Nuzlocke Challenge).

Anyway, that's my relationship to Pokémon in brief. Some other random details:

Favorite Pokémon: Butterfree
Favorite Legendary: Xerneas
Favorite Game: Need to play more entries, first
First Game and Starter: Blue Bulbasaur
Currently Playing: HeartGold (Over 160 hours, trying to just fill the Pokédex as much as I can)
Favorite Episode/Arc of the Anime: The Sabrina battle
Favorite song on OCR's The Missingno Tracks: Champion's Horizon
First got into Pokémon: Right at the (US) beginning with the first episode that aired here (the St. Anne episode)
Experience with the Metagame: Losing a lot on Showdown ^_^

HGSS are great games (and my personal favorites of the main series of games, if we're not including the ones set in Orre.) It was nice having 16 gyms to challenge instead of the standard eight, as well as being able to have walking Pokémon again after Yellow. Wish they would have kept that in subsequent installments.

If you find the time and opportunity to play them, I'd recommend the Orre games (Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness) and Pokémon Conquest.

Thanks. You may call me RW if you wish. I've played Colosseum long ago, not Gale of Darkness. They've been an inspiration for a fan-theory that a friend and I have (which I won't go into here). Thanks for the links, as well. I'll be sure to check those out.
