Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the Mega Dimension DLC yet. I just learned that apparently, in this downloadable content, we learn that after the battle against Ange, when Team MZ probably returned to the hotel, Taunie/Urbain was the first to discover AZ's body. Yeah, man, I knew he'd never show it, but I still find it pretty explicit that he mentions it so clearly. It must have been so hard for Taunie/Urbain, who was the first child he took in; they probably broke down in tears, no doubt about it. After all, she wanted to thank AZ. It must have been truly heartbreaking for the entire Team MZ, even though I'm sure Paxton and Harmony probably weren't as affected as they were because they'd only known AZ for a few months and hadn't interacted much with him. Everyone will have their own subjective interpretation of this element of the story. For me, my MC was mostly distraught that his body was found lifeless upon his return. So, regarding my headcanon, which isn't just meant to be viewed through the lens of love, I like to think that on the night of AZ Paxton's death, he grew close to a completely heartbroken Taunie, who ended up throwing herself into his arms. Or, in the other version, Harmony wants to comfort Urban and takes him in her arms. This would constitute such a sincere exchange between the two of them. It could be seen as a pretext to force something romantic, but thinking that way would be incongruous because an embrace given to someone grieving the loss of someone important is nothing less than a sentimental gesture that doesn't need to be charged with romantic feelings to occur.

before i start word vomiting i'm frothing at the mouth a little bit because i'm working on a rewrite fic and the revelation the old man's passed is a particular dagger-twist for it i would like to ask, just for consideration, are you willing to hear additional interpretations of moments around that?
