About the Spearo/Fearow in season 1 and 2

I apologise if this has been discussed in the past but I was wondering about this, how did Ash know that the Fearow in Pallet Party Panic was the same Spearow he had thrown a stone at in episode 1? If it had been a shiny, the obviously it would have been reasonable to assume that it was. Or a distinguishing mark like Marina's Jiglypuff having different coloured eyes than most, then if it had kept that mark when evolving it would most likely be it. The thing is, Spearow is a common pokemon.Also, what would a group of pidgeys and pidgeottos have to do with Ash hitting it with a stone that would cause it to want to attack them. If it had a chip on it's shoulder about Ash hitting it with a stone it would have more likely followed him and struck at bad times. That is why I don't understand how there was a connection between the Fearow in Pallet Party Panic and the Spearow Ash attacked in the first episode. Personally, I think that the spearow Ash threw a stone at could just as easily have evolved and been the same one that Paul was tying to catch.

Well for what other reason would the Fearow would want to attack Ash other than for payback for what Ash did (not just for throwing a rock at it but also for Pikachu basically blasting him and the other Spearows away)? I doubt a random Fearow would attack Ash for no reason if it did not hold a grudge against him. As for why it would attack those Pidgeys and Pidgeotto, it could be because Fearow and the flock of Spearows considered those sky in those parts to be its territory and considered the Pidgey and Pidgeottos to be invaders.

What? According to the ep, it should be the Spearow and Fearow that are the invaders. Also, Pokémon have no "s".
