Accidentaly killed a shiny

Have you ever found a shiny pokemon and when you try to catch it you accidentaly killed it. It is a very hurtful moment. If you ever had an incident like that post it here.

I remember i once found a shiny corsola and my sceptile was to strong and i had no poke balls left and it was blue so sad
 
Once in Crystal I accidentally killed a shiny Rapidash.

I was upset because Rapidash looks awesome when it's shiny:

The only shiny that slipped through my grasp was a Pidgey. I lobbed a bunch of balls at it... But it broke out of every single one!

I've learned to buy as many Pokéballs as I can, and be well stocked. Granted, it was only a pidgey, but still...
 
Well, one time when I was chaining, I found a Shiny Beldum. I battled that thing for about a half hour, until it struggled. It then commited suicide:bawling:

I always walk around with as many balls as possible. When I get to endgame, I always keep my stocks very high (in DP, like 900 high) In fact, when I saw my first wild Shiny in Gen 3/4 (a Shiny Shellder), I just threw a Master Ball. It was a legitimate one, mind you (thank going through Sapphire with mono-type teams multiple times), but in retrospect, it was a bad idea. I didn't want to risk it, though there was no risk. Still, the thing looks damn nice. I even got to witness the strange effect of catching a Pokemon for the first time when that Pokemon is shiny (FYI, everything is the same, but it will show up shiny in the Pokedex entry screen - albeit only then. Checking it later will show the normal variation).

The two others I found were a Shiny Drowzee and a Shiny Hoothoot in Silver, both of which I made sure I caught. I think I caught the former with an Ultra Ball storm after paralysis and nothing more, and the later with a duped Master Ball.
 
Yes, I killed a Shiny Trapinch with a critical hit I wasn't expecting from a low-level Anorith.
 
Yes ZAPDOS in FR! It was shiny, too cool. I used my nidoking to get it down to a few HP and for some reason Great balls worked better than ultra balls as it seemd to not come out as quick in great balls. I almost have it and it escapes my great ball. Then it uses drill peck and what do you know, I forget this... it gets poisoned from nidokings poison point! :( faints!

No Shiny Zapdos! I reset and catch Zapdos in a great ball after using 37 Great balls and a few ultra balls. Not siny, but it shall do, hard enough to get a shiny legendary, but thats the best I can do for now. First time I swore in a long time.
 
Killed a shiny Zubat in Ruby. Damn critical hits ;_;
 
I killed a shiny Bagon in emerald. I had to, as I had just ran out of Pokeballs trying to catch a normal bagon. I caught the normal one and i was about to leave that cave when i encountered a shiny one. Damn it.
 
I've lost a lot of shines in Crystal, but none-so-far in the newer games.

I was starting the game on Rt 201 and all of a sudden an orange Starly popped out of nowhere. I was like, WTF, I don't have any Poké Balls and there is a perfectly good Starly that I just have to kill! But, I got an orange Starly on the GTS later, so it doesn't really matter.
 
I never killed a shiny, (I only met one shiny in my life, an oddish in the r/s safari zone) but my brother says that he once played my game, and encountered a shiny zubat, which he, according to him, killed.

A "Shiny" Pokémon is basically a Pokémon that's colored differently from normal. The offical term is "Alternate Coloration", but people call them "shiny" because they're accompanyed by sparkles when they appear.

They're extremely rare, you usually get a 1 in 9000 something chance of finding one. Killing one instead of capturing it can really upset people though.
 
They're in every main Pokemon game (Diamond and Parl, for example). Ash's Noctowl in the series was also a shiny
 
I encountered a shiny female Machoke on my Diamond game. Rather than kill it, I accidentally ran away from it since I was in a rush to catch Uxie and wasn't paying attention to the wild pokemon until it was too late :(
 
When I was trying to chain for Beldums and my chain broke I reset my game. But before my DS reset I got a glimpse of what I was losing: a frickin' shiny Vibrava. :banghead:

I have never felt so stupid in all of my life. Talk about epic fail. :complain:

At least I can correct this mistake; I've been chaining Vibravas like crazy for the past month. That little so-and-so will be mine! I swear it!
 
While I was playing my ruby, I found a shiny tentacool. I accidently killed after throwing over a dozen pokeballs with my blaziken. Sigh, it would have been cool to have a shiny pokemon for once.
