How many of you have and use action replays? Some consider it hacking and others say that it is just using your resorses wisly. I however take a neutral opinion in the matter. I own an action replay, however i dont use it for competition. I want to Know if you, the youth (and the creepy old dudes that still live with there parents) of the world think about this subject.

You're not supposed to use Action Replays for competition, anyway. I used the walk through walls cheat to get to Shaymin once. I defeated it by accident though. The Mystery Zones are ENDLESS...

I never use Action Replay because it's cheating. If you don't want to work for your Pokémon, you should just use ShoddyBattle.

I do have it, but I only use it for money and pokeballs, and before I got Wi-Fi, other version pokemon, Also to activate events i've missed here in the UK.

I always play the game normally through to the end before I even think of using an Action Replay. Even then, I generally use it to get the event Key Items so I can catch the event Legendaries. Seeing as how I can't travel to any events.

Don't have one, don't use it. Used my friend's on Pearl for a little while, and ended up not really being happy with the fact that I used it. Thus, Platinum hasn't been touched with it. And now, I'm at 493 pokemon. Booyah, AR users out there! It can be done with just a bit of elbow grease. >D

Oh, and also 8 level 100 battle-ready Pokemon off of in-game items alone. *Nods some* And some stuff from Pearl, but things I made sure that I never hacked up.

I don't use it at all. I really don't see the need, as I like to play the games to get what I need. Sure, not having the events makes me a little sad, but I will get over it. Thats what the GTS is for.

Im 20, don't live with parents, live with my lady and my son. I havent used a action replay sence I was in my youth wen it was calles a gameshark, and I used it on red to have some fun, then I reset and played the real way

Only on emulators, and even that is mainly for fun.

Yep I agree I don't have a gameshark/action replay, I only use action replays on emulators for fun or if I get bored, and I use advance map and like creating my own maps. But no way I will never want to use AR's on a real cartridge it takes the fun away besides, its uh..how would I put it illegal? And I just hate using it on the real thing. But yeah on emulator's just for fun but then again I hardly use AR's on emulators anyway. If I do use AR on emulator I just mainly like glitching pokémon blue to see how glitchy it can get >:p Oh yeah and memory viewer messing around with hex codes. But it's really creepy when your playing gen I games with glitches goin' on at midnight by yourself.. and the game is in b&w.

What about creepy old ladies? Though I don't live with my parents. :p

I don't use AR. I'd rather enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played. I've got all the patience and resources I need to get whatever I want in-game.

I use it sometimes, but usually not. I prefer catching and raising my pokemon myself. The few codes that I use have no affect on pokemon as themselves. I usually just use them to mess around, such as walking through walls when I don't have a HM pokemon with me. I never use them on my pokemon, since I'm into legitimate trading. So using cheats is O.K to me, as long as you aren't going around hacking shinies with max IVs and impossible stats.
EDIT: And cheating to unlock a event that you missed or to get a pokemon in the exact same place with the exact same stats is O.K in my book.

Either only on emulators or to get Pokes I want at like level 10 or something(Flygon for example).
