Sorry, but this doesn't belong in the Library until it's completely posted.

*moves to the main fanfiction forum*

The best advice I can give you here is simple:

Write the story. After you have done an entire chapter, and are satisfied with the quality, then post it. You may even want to write several chapters ahead of what you post. Use a word processor to write your story, then copy and paste it to post. Don't try to write it in the "Post Reply" box.

I completely agree with Murg (now that thsi fic is where it belongs).

Writing in the reply box is the surest way to write a fic no one will really want to read.

Spell check too. And know the cliches. Original trainer fics are very overdone, but can be good if they provide us with something we've never read before. So what's her hook? What's different about Addie that will make people want to read her story?

wow... i didn't think i'd get friendly criticisom...ok i know i spelled that wrong:rolleyes: i'd outta deleate this and try again:-p

Review: Addie’s Hoenn Adventure
This is a reflection of the times I think, but nowadays, this would work on the forums as a drabble, I believe. Reviewing things like this definitely show how one would initially start to plan their story. Although, this piece does have a few lessons to be learned from it.

Firstly, paragraphs and their usage are important tools. Not only can they be used in their grammatically correct sense, IE. new subject, new paragraph, but they can also be used to give the impression of a chapter or a drabble being slightly longer than it is.

Secondly, spelling is something which this piece does have some issues with. A reminder to check your spelling before posting, as some of these could be avoided, if not all of them. In addition to spelling, as I believe the two are linked, grammar is something which also should be checked. Everyone makes grammar mistakes, and that’s okay – double checking grammar is something which will minimise the errors. For example, capitalising proper nouns, such as a character’s name.

While these comments may seem direct and hard on this piece, I think it is something important that everyone should consider - and ask for help if you get stuck.
