Adding to my pokedex........

Just a quick question (i dont really understand wifi and all that....)

i tried trading over the gts (quite good fun, i managed to grab a heracross that i was having real trouble finding on trees!) anyway, i realised that you can only search for pokes that youve seen, slightly strange but not a big problem. the question is how do i add to my pokedex the pokemon that i cant catch?

jirachi for example..... i want one just to fill my dex up, if i fought someone on wifi and they used one would that add to my dex? how about downloaded battle tower data (seeing as this happens offline, ingame after data has been downloaded..)

what you guys think??

Your best bet is to find someone specific that you can trade with. At the very least, trade for the wanted Pokemon, then trade it back so you'll have it registered in your Pokedex and can hunt it down on the GTS.

oh right, theres no way to do it without the need for friend codes then?

Not without having another game in which the Pokemon can be found in or a cheating device.

The problem with trying to get Pokemon like Jirachi off GTS is that thier most often hacks. Your best bet for finding someone to trade with would be something like Serebii's wifi chat http://www.serebii.net/chat-wifi.shtml or a trading site like GTS+ http://www.gtsplus.net/main.
