Heading out to Kanto

The sun was rising over the land of Hoenn as May and her brother Max were back at home in Petalburg City after a year of adventures with Ash Ketchum,a highly skilled trainer who came in top 8 in the Hoenn League only to lose to Tyson,and Brock,womanizer and trying to be the world's greatest Breeder.With the end of the Hoenn championships,everyone went their seperate ways as Ash and Brock went back to Kanto.
It was a beautiful day as May was sitting in the grass outside the house overlooking her hometown.She was looking at her Pokemon play tag and was reminscing of the great times she had with Ash and Brock. "I'm so bored. I wish I was with Ash just like good old times.
Inside,Norman,Caroline and Max were eating pancakes and bacon with a cup of orange juice to drink.Max was looking out the window while his mother interuppted, "What are you looking at son ?" Max turns away from the window.
"I'm wondering what's wrong with May." he goes to look again,
Norman interupted, "It is strange, usually she would be here chowin' down on all the food.She must be sick or something."
"She's been like this so far since the day we returned from the Hoenn Championships." Max told him.
Norman was going to the door, "I'll go talk to May."
Caroline went in the way, "Umm...how about if I talked to May instead?After all,She'll feel more comfortable talking to me.Why don't you and Max enjoy your breakfast."
"Whatever you feel is best.." kisses his wife and sits downs.
Caroline opens the door and heads outside greeting her daughter, "Hello May?" She sees her daughter looking at her hometown in a condition of depression.
Looks back seeing her mom giving a weak greeting, "Oh hey mom."
"May,why arent u at the dining room eating ur breakfast? Is everything okay?"
To give an excuse, "I'm not really hungry,mom.I'm fine."
In a skeptical tone, "I know you May I knew you for the rest of my life and if your not hungry then something has to be wrong."
"Really no...I'm.." tries to look away.
Caroline sits on the grass with her daughter looking at her daughter. "Something is bothering my May. I know it." She was thinking. "May,you can trust me. I'm your mother. You can ask me anything.Now tell me whats wrong."
Caroline knew what was on her mind but wanted to be assured. May was about to answer. "Is that I..."
Knowing of the answer so she said it before she could, "I know.Is that Ash boy you were traveling with?"
May started blushing, "What makes you think is Ash?"
"Dont deny it!" Caroline gave a joyful look putting her arm around May, "The way I saw you looking at Ash when you brought him here."
"It doesn't mean anything!" She knew she was lying to herself.
"How about when Ash challeneged your father. It seemed you wanted your father to win but not Ash to lose from what I heard from your brother."
"I was being supportive!" May hated lying about her feelings.
"How about...."
May interrupted, "Okay, are you happy. I like the guy. Can you blame me? He's kind and loving to his Pokemon,funny,heroic and...." then stops and looks down to the grass and stayed silent for a few seconds.....
Meanwhile, inside the house,Max and Norman were talking about the challengers he faced today at the Pokemon Gym nearby.
"So, Dad how was the Gym today?Anyone challenged?"
"It was pretty good. Only two people challenged."
Max asked, " Did you beat them?"
"I don't want to brag but YEA!" Norman responded, "You shouldve seen this guy he had a Gastly,Haunter,Gengar and Machamp. He kept using Ghost type moves on my normal types which have no effect. With my Slaking using Earthquake,i beat all his Pokemon."
"Wow, dad it sounds like it was an easy battle. I hope I'll be a Gym Leader one day."
"No worry Max, you will" Norman responded, "The other battle was much more challenging. A kid about the age of May known as Brendan from Littleroot Town came in with his Swampert, Aggron ,Shrifty and a Metagross.The kid was pretty tough and the battle at first was a draw neck in neck but my Slaking used Yawn on his Aggron then i used Hyper Beam causing him to lose."
"You wanna know what is even weirder about that kid?"questioned Norman.
Max answered, "No,what?"
"You know Professor Birch right and we all know he's married."
"Yea huh..." Max was shaking his head in agreement.
Norman responded, "What you don't know is that Brendan is his son!"
"Wow,that strange since you and the professor are the best of friends.You think he would've mentioned his son a long time ago..."
"Yea,after the battle,I called Professor Birch and told of him and he said that was his son." Norman was explaining.
"Why he didnt say anything?" Max questioned
Norman stated, "He just told me that I didn't ask.Weird"
Max looks out on the window seeing his mother and sister, "I wonder what they are talking about?"
"Girls are different,it's best not to try to understand him." he laughs
Max responds, "Amen to that" they start laughing.....Meanwhile outside Caroline and May were still talking....
"If you like Ash,then what's the problem?"May put her head up again.
"I haven't exactly told him of my feelings.."
Caroline wondered why,"What's the reason?"
"I don't know if he has the same feelings for me.It would probably feel awkward to him."
"You were with him for an entire year.You had plenty of time.Why didn't you tell him then?"Caroline was looking at her.
"I don't know.What's the point?Ash is back at home in Kanto while I'm stuck at Hoenn.Who's knows if he's at home?"gets even sadder at admitting this fact to herself.
"There's only way for him to ever tell him your feelings and hope for him to return to those feelings."
"And what's that."looks on to Petalburg City
"Going to the Kanto region and meet up with Ash!Of course."
"How am I supposed to get there?Pallet Town is a long way's away from Petalburg City.I would have to take either airplane or ferry."
"Umm...May.We don't have enough money for an airplane ticket.Food and movies they give you is horrible.Believe me especially AirHoenn.Dont get me started.."
May interrupts,"Mom as much I would like to hear you hate on airline companies.I believe we're talking about how to get to Kanto."
Caroline then stops and think,"Oh yea! Sorry.You can take a ferry ride to Kanto."
May was so happy and hugs her mom,"Thanks mom."Caroline gives May a Ferry Pass from Hoenn to Kanto.
"I wish I could but you need to ask your father to go then."
"Can i at least think about it?Then tell Dad/"
"Sure honey,let's go eat some breakfast."
"Okay!"May and Caroline went back inside the house.
Max greeted them,"Hey,May your back from sulking!"May hits her little brother on the head causing a big anime bump on his head.
"Stop bothering your sister!Max..!"
"Man...okay...Sorry May"May forgives her
"Why were you outside?"Nax asked
"Oh i just had something in my mind.Let's go eat!"May starts chowing down on her plate including Max's...
"Hey!"Max responded,"Eat your own plate."
"But you're not eating yours.You need help finishing that up.,"
In unison,her parents and Max say,"She's back!!"
"Hey i heard that,they started laughing......
Later in the afternoon,May after much thought decided she wanted to go to the Kanto region since there were no Contests for now so it would be okay.May went downstairs seeing her mom and dad watching the Pokemon variety show seeing Pancho with his Ludicolo doing an dance routine.
Norman and Carolin and Max were laughing,"Thats some good Latin dancing.
May looked at the show remembring meeting the man on her past adventures with her brother,Ash and Brock."Umm,mom can I talk to you?
"Sure May"goes to the porch and sits on the bench."What do you need?"
"I decided after much thinking to go to the Kanto region,I'm gonna tell my dad."
May and Caroline go back to the living room while Norman is laughing as Pancho and Ludicolo falls asleep as a group of Jigglypuff sing and they use markers to mark up his face."Umm,Dad,can I talk to you?"
"Sure honey"turns off the TV"Whats up?"May looked behind her and her mom encouraged her."Go on"
"I was wondering if i could...."
"You could..........................."
"If i could go to travel to...."
"Just spit it out May!"Norman was wondering what did his daughter want
May was nervous"Ummmm....I was wondering if I could head out to the Kanto region by myself."
"What for?Kanto is sort of far away from Hoenn."
Max whispered,"It because you like Ash..."
"Shut up"May gives Max a punch quieting him down.
May turn back her attention on her dad,"Come on dad,you always been saying I should travel and see different kinds of Pokemon not just from Hoenn.I should know before Max was born,we lived in Olivine City."
"Are you going to be by yourself the entire journey?"Norman questioned her.
"Well I'll be with Ash ....."
As for Ash,he was nervous as Ash was a teenage boy of the age of 14 but knew from past accounts of May and Max,knew Ash was a good kid and knows that Ash never makes a move on a girl especially May so far.
"I guess you can go...."
"Really dad.Your the best!!"hugs her dad tightly around his waist...
"Okay okay you can let go"May was so happy that she can see Ash again for another year of adventures in Kanto.
"Only if you bring your little brother Max."
May got really mad as she wanted to go to get away from her annoying brother."But Dad!"she whined.
"No buts! Or I'll change my mind.."
"Why???"
Max retorted,"I'm the one with the Pokenav.You'll get lost without me.If I didn't you and Ash,you guys would've been lost all the time.After all,Brock is not that great with the map from what Ash told me."
Norman added,"Also,that I believe your brother can learn a lot more about Pokemon if he went with you to the Kanto region since there are many Pokemon there that don't live in Hoenn."
"Okay,Max i guess you can come..."wanting it to be private btw her and Ash.
Max was celebrating"Yes! So whens the ferry ride to Pallet Town going to be?"
"Tomorrow early in the morning.."May read her Ferry Pass
Max stated,"Why so early???"
"We can rest up once we get on the ferry.We need to start packing now."
"Oh man......"goes up with May to start packing
Early in the morning around three a.m.,May and Max,all ready to head out for the ferry in Littleroot Town and a little tired,said goodbye to their parents and headed out for Kanto for new adventures
