Alright, for those who think Ash and May belong together...this is the thread for you! Like mentioned before, Advanceshipping is a ship between Ash and May. Feel free to post pictures, fanart, and oter things as long as it's Advanceshippy. To start things off...

Why did you become an Advanceshipper?

Cool, an Advanceshipping thread. I can only hope that it doesn't turn into a debate thread like others have in the past. Oh well, wait and see I guess...

Well, truth be told, I am not an Advanceshipper. In saying that, however, I happen to tolerate it much, MUCH more than, well, most of the other popular Pokemon ships out there... Why? I'm not so sure.. Probably it's due to the fact that I have yet to meet any Advanceshippers who were annoying enough to put me off the shipping altogether.... A shallow reason perhaps, but it IS a reason... sometimes the thought of people gloating should their shipping happen makes my skin crawl *shudders*

Perhaps another reason is because the only shipping I support is Gymshipping, so there isin't any problem in terms of rivalry.... I dunno.... I might find out later...

On topic:Well, to answer my own topic, I became an Advanceshipper for many reasons. First beacause Ash and May look perfect together. They almost are exactly alike. And by theway I see it, it looks like the writers are trying to make May an Ash clone.

Off topic:BTW STJ, are you the same STJ from Serebii?

Yeah, I'm Meganium XD. And your right, there Pokemon are all very similar.
I would'nt be surprised if May got an other Ash pokemon. Mabey even 2 or 3.

When did you first hear of the idea of Advanceshipping?

I really hope that made sense..

Ok, well, the first time heard of it was on another forum, just when people found out that a new female character was going to be in the show...

Like Pokeshipping, I wasn't surprised that she would be paired up with Ash. It was a main guy/main girl thing, I guess...

Back then, someone had named it Neogakishipping XD

Well obviously any girl in the main group is going to be shipped with Ash regardless, so as soon as I saw May as a main character I knew there would be some ship for it.

The name Advanceshipping makes perfect sense, as it's a good name for both the original and the dub version.

Yeah, it makes sense. I'm not very picky with names so meh ^_^'

I wonder how many Advanceshippers there are here? Hmmm..

Most people here are all diehard Misty fan(boys/girls), so there aren't too many here on Bulbagarden. From what I've read here, it seems like 90% of shippers here are Pokeshippers.

SPP has a ton of Advanceshippers though.

A lot of the shippers here on BMG are from the old days of 1999-2002, so it's no surprise the PokéShipping bias would be that great.

Frankly, I'm just surprised that AdvanceShipping hasn't spawned its own version of the OPS yet.

Actually, I'd say the non-breakout of a Shipping war is potentially a bad thing.

Remember, given that the PokéShippers here are quite mature, any "war" is likely to be confined to very specific debate topics, without any thread hijackings or thread invasions that you might otherwise have seen elsewhere, allowing those who don't want to get into the debates to avoid them totally.

I guess I sort of understand -censorship dosen''t work either...I have to say though, I don't think that there are enough Advanceshippers to have, for lack of a better word, a fair fight for a debate just yet, then again I might be wrong...

But back to Advanceshipping...hmm, I've got a topic now..

What is you're favourite Ash/May scene?

Well, since I'm not an Advanceshipper, I'm not sure if I can answer... perhaps I will later..

Granted, there's not enough for a "fair fight" here ATM, but if someone was to, say, invite the SPP Advanceshippers over (Given that I'm banned at SPP and can't debate there)...

Yeah, there's be no point having a debate here since there are 25+ Pokeshippers versus what..2 or 3 Advanceshippers? Not to mention most Pokeshippers would rely on hints from the first two seasons, which are pretty much canon but they've happened so long ago that they don't hold as much weight nowadays as they used to.

Especially if the writers are going the Orangeshipping route since Pokemon Advance began.

^ One of my favorite Ash/May moments. Ash has really matured a lot since Kanto, especially trying to calm May down and console her. I bet some Pokeshippers would have loved to see Ash put his hands on Misty's shoulders like Ash did to May in the pic at the very top.

beautiful pictures, Never did this With Misty and Never to do, But May for Ash is Not Common girl and that is point for Advanceshipping.

Before : Melody, Marcy, Bianca etc,etc (Girls You tie With Ash)
Now: Drew,the Boy the movie 7 etc,etc ( Boys You tie With May)
Now: Not More entailments the girls with Ash, but if it have entailments the boys With May.
