here its advanceshiping or pokeshipping duscusions and talking talking gossip-ping just dont have a hamspar and start a war discussions without wars or warishly discusions plus a poll

Must we really debate about this again? I've gotten bored of debating the same points over again, honestly. This forum is filled with Pokeshippers too, so it's not really worth it.
 
Don't have a war about it? How can we just gossip about two conflicting ships?

If a new girl starts travelling with Ash in the D/P saga you can bet that will be shipped as well. :rolleyes:

Don't start war disscussions without wars? That doesn't remotely make sense.

Also, the poll itself is just begging for a war.

I would say a lot about how PokéShipping is canon and AdvanceShipping is fanon but I'd prefer to avoid a war as well. Though that's only because it is getting boring and doesn't mean that to expect no war wasn't undermining the shipping fandom.

Looking at that avatar, though, Ash has never really kissed anyone. He's been kissed on more than one occasion but never kissed anyone himself. That can be put down to a lack of interest in romance. Misty is a romantic but I think even she has realised that Ash isn't going to see her in a romantic light for a while and so her responsibilities at the Gym currently rank higher than him.

I've been in so many of these arguements that I can only just say I'm a Pokeshipper and I dont think AdvanceShipping will ever happen, ContestShipping will (I'm not a ContestShipper, I want Drew either for myself or for Harley)
I think I got my point through

We don't even know if Drew will make it to the D/P region, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on a ship that could be resolved at the end of this season.
 
A ship that has been built up to canonicity? Really, the only way Drew could suddenly not be around in the next saga is if May isn't around or something happens to him. (And no, I don't think the writers will take the Gary route again.)

As for Advanceshipping vs Pokeshipping, well, I'm not going to bother debating either. I have my own beliefs and I'm content with that.

Hm. I haven't voted yet.

On one hand, I could vote "advanceshiping..boot out p.s. permanently". Because let's face it, I'm no Pokeshipper and Advanceshipping is smexy. Then again, that would mean I think Advanceshipping is going to happen. And I don't.

On the other hand, I could vote for "*fart burb cough* p.s. BOO bOOO dont ote this! p.s. ZUCKS !!!BOOO".

If I voted for the second one, I could vote for the Pokeshipping sucks part. But that would be mean. Not to mention, I'd have to fart. Don't really feel like doing that.

The writers getting rid of Misty shows that they have no problem getting rid of a character with a ship attached. Pokeshipping had 5 seasons worth of build up and it ultimately went nowhere because Misty was removed from the series.

(And no, I don't think the writers will take the Gary route again.)

Despite the fact that the writers repeat old storylines 80%...or rather make it 100% of the time?

I'm having problems seeing what role Drew can have in the show after May beats him. Even if we say May/Drew don't face each other in the Kanto GF, and Drew sticks around for the D/P one, what then?

You honestly don't see a problem with a rivalry that has no end? It is logical to assume that at some point in the series, May will defeat Drew at a Grand Festival. It's also logical to assume that since his primary role in the anime was concluded, the writers may choose to not use his character anymore in future seasons.

Assuming the writers will keep Drew around for the sake of a ship is extremely pushing it I'm afraid. The rivalry is the prime reason for his existance, the romance subplot is second fiddle.

And no, I'm not just saying this because of Contestshipping. I don't expect Harley to be around in the series forever either. As much as I like Harley, I think it's likely he'll be dropped at some point too. Rivalries in this show only go on for as long as the writers are willing to stretch them out.

If the BF saga really is the end of AG, the writers may want to parallel Ash/Gary which was the end of Pocket Monsters. Essentially May would be starting the D/P region fresh then with a clean slate, same way Ash started Hoenn off fresh.

I'm sorry, but this is how this show works. Romance is the last thing on the writers minds, and they have shown that they have no problem ending something that they built up over a long period of time. (Other examples would include the GS ball, Ho-oh, Rocketshipping, etc.)
