Let’s assume this is set sometime in the Rising again arc but before ep124.

As Liko was walking up to the meeting spot, she was feeling increasingly nervous. She really was not sure what to expect from this. She looked at her Meowscarada for reassurance, who only meowed at her grumpily. It was a nice, warm day today. They both got up early to get ready for the meeting. Meowscarada did not like this, she would definitely prefer to sit down on the Brave Olivine’s deck and get another nap. Liko was pretty sure Meowscarada did not really like the idea of this meeting at all.
“Come on, a little support here, please?” Liko said to her, but only received another grumpy meow in response.
When Liko first read the message from Amethio a couple of days ago, for a moment, she froze in surprise.

“Meet me on Saturday at noon near the Seabreeze Café in Mesagoza” the message said.

Liko was not really sure if it was a challenge for a Pokémon battle… or something entirely else. She got advice from the rest of Brave Olivine’s crew, and came to the conclusion that it was best to accept the invitation. It was very clear by now that Amethio was no longer an enemy, and could even become a trusted, valuable ally… But was this meeting really going to be about further plans for opposing Spinel? Molly joked that Amethio decided to gather his courage and ask Liko on a date…

Liko blushed at the very thought of it. The café was already in her line of sight… but she did not see Amethio yet. She readjusted her hair clips and sat down on a bench near the café’s entrance, her Meowscarada followed suit. A couple minutes passed, and the anxious knot in Liko’s stomach tightened. And she also felt a little bit as if a pack of Butterfree had taken residence there. She did get here 15 minutes too early...because she did not want to be late.
Meowscarada just leaned on Liko’s shoulder and went to sleep. Liko sighed.

Then, she felt a wind in her hair. She looked up. There he was. Amethio flying on his Corvinight. The avian’s feathers were gleaming in the sun, and Amethios hair was fluttering in the wind. “Quite a sight.” thought Liko, a little dumbstruck.
They landed, and Amethio returned Corvinight to its Pokéball.
Meowscarada was the first to greet Amethio, with a grumbling growly meow.
Amethio just raised his eyebrow in response, and then turned to Liko. “I am glad you decided to show up.”
“Of course! Uhh…”
“I would like to talk to you, alone, if that is all right.” Amethio said, looking at Liko with a serious expression on his face. Liko was not sure what to make of it… But then again, he almost always looked like this.
Meowscarada meowed loudly, first at Amethio, then at Liko.
“This is not a trap of any kind, if this is what you are worried about.” Amethio replied to the cat quietly.
“It’s fine, Meowscarada! Come back for now. I will call you out if I need your help, don’t worry!” said Liko with a somewhat unsure smile.
Meowscarada agreed, begrudgingly, but gave Amethio one last glare before returning to her Pokéball.
“Shall we go in?” Amethio gestured at the café.
Liko nodded.

They got seated at a table near a window, that had a nice view of the plaza. After they were handed the menus by a friendly waiter, Amethio looked intently on Liko and took a deep breath.
“I asked you to come here because I need your advice.”
“...What about? I will gladly help you if I can.” Liko replied with a smile, but was starting to get even more nervous. What could he possibly need advice about? Maybe he needed some further reassurance about finding his path forward? Or did he find out more information about Laqurium, and wasn’t sure about what to do with it?

Amethio was silent for a short while, that to Liko, felt like an eternity.

“I don’t know which cake to order. Which one should I choose? They both look delicious.” he finally said.

“….Eeehh???! Is this.. is this what all of this is about?” Liko exclaimed in shock.
“Yes...I just couldn’t decide. You are the only person who came to my mind when I asked myself about who could help me solve this dilemma. You already have shown me the right path forward before, so you are the natural choice.”
Liko sighed with relief. “I thought this was about something more serious…”
“So, you think this isn’t serious?” Amethio replied and cocked his head to the side, one corner of his mouth tilted up slightly… “Wait a second, is he… smirking?” Liko thought to herself, a little abashed.
“Well… I did not mean to diminish your feelings about this...dilemma, but I have quite an easy solution to this problem!”
“I am listening.”
“Let’s order both, and we can share them with each other!” Liko said with a cute smile.
“You are as pretty as you are wise.” Amethio muttered under his nose.
“Uhh.. did you say something, Amethio? Are you all right with this?”
“I said: of course, that is a wise course of action.”

Their cakes arrived shortly. The sweets were indeed as delicious as they looked.
Amethio and Liko exchanged a couple of comments about the taste and texture, and talked a about their favourite flavours. The conversation was a little awkward, but pleasant nonetheless. Liko was able to relax a little. She noticed that Amethio’s shoulders became less tense, and his posture less rigid. Was he as nervous before this meeting as she was?

They finished their desserts.
Amethio called the waiter.
“Ah, we should split the bill!” said Liko hurriedly.
“It’s all right, I’ll pay. I am the one who invited you, after all.” Amethio replied calmly.
“Fine… but… next time, it’s my treat, all right?” Liko said, blushing a little.
“I am looking forward to it.” Amethio smiled gently.

They exited the café and started to get ready to say their goodbyes.
Meowscarada jumped out of her Pokéball and looked at Liko with concern, making sure that everything is all right. Amethio called out his Corviknight, but before setting off, he turned back to Liko.
“I am sorry that I did not...communicate my intentions more clearly. It seems that I have caused you and Meowscarada unnecessary stress. I wasn’t really sure how I should act… this is the first time I have ever asked someone out on a date.”
Liko froze for a second in response. So… this really was a date after all! Liko felt her face getting all warm, but composed herself quickly.
“I am glad we got to talk in a context different than battling each other ...or fighting against someone else. I really hope that we can continue to get to know each other better from now on.” said Liko, while averting her eyes.
“We are in agreement then. I feel the same.” replied Amethio in a slightly shaky voice.
Meowscarada meowed at Amethio in a warning.
“Yes, of course. I understand.” he responded seriously.
Liko laughed. “Meowscarada, you are such a worrywart! Thank you for always keeping me safe though!”
“See you next time.” Amethio said, as he mounted his Corvinight.
“See you!” Liko said and gave Amethio a little wave, as he flew off into the bright blue sky.
