I was wondering if there's any way to fix DVDs that are scratched up. I think I've heard of there being various products/services to do something like that, but I don't know what they are or where I'd get them, since I've never tried to fix a DVD before.
The thing is that a girl I know online was having all these financial problems so she started selling off all her DVDs at somewhat high prices for used stuff, and asked her friends to help her by buying them. So she was selling these NGE DVDs and I bought them. I actually used to not like NGE, I used to think it was confusing and depressing, but then in November 2001 I became really depressed and next time I saw an episode I liked it. I think you just have to be really emo and hate life to enjoy NGE. Anyways the point is I bought these DVDs from her, and when she sent them they were scratched all to hell and didn't work. I told her about this, and she swore she'd checked them right before she sent them and that they worked "perfectly" in her player. She offered to send me a refund but she was all like "I'm having terrible financial problems, but I'll manage, I'm sure you could get them to work in another player, and hey if you can, then you'll have both the money and the DVDs." Because she refused to let me send the DVDs back for the refund. So in the end I just told her to forget it and keep the money, because it seemed like she was saying if I took the refund then I'd have the money as well as DVDs that could concievably work, and also she'd like go poor and have to drop out of school or something.
But point being now I'm out the money and stuck with DVDs that fail to work, so...yeah, is there anything I could possibly do or buy to make them work?
