After HGSS do you think a thing like Pokemon Blue would happen in Japa for DPPt?

Think about it. The map got a major new style in hgss as opposed to fr/lg staying the same, the menus and the pokedex got a majorly heavy update, and Pokemon were added to follow you. This is also the second gen were the menu's got a bit of an update(okay fr/lg only added icons but still it was good to see what you were using) and all. the first time the icons were added to emerald. Now we only have a 5th gen to add things on. Sure they might want to keep them special but it just does not make sense to basically take DPPt take everything it set in stone, throw it out and leave it to rot and put in a new fresh and innovative system to play with. I strongly believe if the gap to the 5th gen is going to be that long we can see something like it happening.

Possibly. They could update DPPt to make it like HGSS, but only if they really needed to delay until Gen V. Also, they would really only do this if the customers demanded this. The way that would happen is if customers liked HGSS and it's changed enough. And customers vote with their wallets, so we really need to see some sales for HGSS before we can see GF doing a Blue to DPPt.

Well its obvious that Pt sold really well. Its still selling strong actually with over half a million sold in 2009. So I have little doubt that hgss won't sell well if not surpass 2M on its 1st week. Its everything a Pokemon game should be and more. For the whole delay thing if they do decide to release gen 5 games after 2012 then sometime in 2011 just to hold us off is fine I say.

Well we had to wait like 8 years between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime, and there was a 5-year gap between Zelda: Link's Awakening and Ocarina of Time, to say a few, so I don't get why the urge to have new Pokémon games. Enjoy the ones you have, and when you get tired, play some other game (I'm sure Pkmn is not the only game franchise you play) until the day of Gen V comes in, so when it comes, you'll fel it fresh instead of "meh, another gotta catch'em all/let's get badges game".

With Platinum being fairly recent (it hasn't even reached his first annversary in Japan, and will only do that once HGSS is released), I doubt we'll have an updated Sinnoh game for now. If we get Gen V by 2011 as most people have speculated, there would only be a 2-year gap, exactly the same between Emerald and DP, so there would be no need for a new game to fill in. That's why we have spin-off games for.

Only in case the first GenV versions really took soooo long (like, let's say, 2012-2013 in Japan), then I'll bet GF wil do a fourth version to DPPt, but in that case, I think they would instead surprise us and throw us a RSE remake ("RSEmake"? I think someone else called it that way), then closing the cycle between generations. And only if that happens I see getting a brand-new species, BTW.

Well, it depends on HGSS's sales compared to D&P. HGSS will automatically sell well for being pokemon, but the real test is how well it sells in comparison. That would be a good measure of whether people liked all of the new additions to HGSS.

I don't think so. Then Pokémon really looks like it's trying to scam you out of your money

Okay this is fanmade but who wouldn't want to play a Sinnoh game with the map like this?

Well the whole point of the 4th game would to go with the style of HGSS for everything including map graphics.
