Japanese title: Sootopolis Gym! Juan, Artist of Water! (Part Two)
Dub title: Eight Ain't Enough

All I can say is... Ugh!

After the 'Great Eight Fate' I really wasn't expecting much better with part two. I was right.

Well, I kinda expected them to do that with the title.

I mean, that's kinda like what they did when Ash was going after his 8th Johto badge too, when they had the title "Better Eight Than Never".

So yeah, I figured they'd do something like that again.

And as for KidsWB airing two new episodes next Saturday......

OMG!!

Wow, that's so awesome!!!! :-D

They haven't done anything like that in a long time.

Let's hope 4kids calls him "Juan" and not "Wallace".

LOL, that'll be one hell of a dub error.

I have to agree that Wallace would be a brilliant dub error! Well, not brilliant but...

*sigh* I just wish Toonami UK would get back to new episodes instead of "new" early Johto episodes.

They wont call him Adan. They SHOULD, but NOA screwed that idea in the arse violently with 'Juan'.

I liked this battle in the originals but I can only imagine these two being utterly horrid simply because of 'Juan'.

If 4kids does name him Juan he'll certainly have a Spanish accent

Of course they will. Nobody relies on stereotypes when casting a character more than 4Kids.

When will the first be aired?

This Saturday, the 28th.

Stereotypes? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Adan purposely made to be from a hispanic background? You can't exactly fault them for giving a guy who's supposed to be Spanish a Spanish accent.

Now then, if they have him say "Ole" and have him mention Mexican cuisine in every other sentence and make up some crazy about how he had poor beginnings, THEN they would be stereotyping.

He looks Spanish to me. Something about that mustache...

That's the exact type of ignorant stereotyping I'm talking about. Just because someone has a physical trait that some hispanics are known to have doesn't mean that person is from a Spanish background. Especially when it's something as minor as a friggin' MUSTACHE...

That doesn't make it any less annoying.

Though I will say that the stereotyping in Pokemon isn't NEARLY as bad as it is in the One Piece dub. I don't think there's been a stereotype that hasn't been exploited on that show.
