Japanese Episode AG 125: "EverGrande City Arrival! Meowth in Boots!?"

0421.jpg

So a lot of interesting things happened in this episode:

-The gang meets Tetsuya, who is the guy carrying around the Flame of Fyre (Moltres) for this tournament. He owns a Nyasu who knows how to use Iron Tail and Thunderbolt, as well as a Metagross that does more in five minutes than the one in the Deoxys movie did in two hours.

-Tamaranze (Mr. Goodshow) remembers who Satoshi and Takeshi are from the previous leagues. He also knows who Haruka is because he watched the Grand Festival on TV, and then deduces that Haruka is Senri's daughter.

-At the registration desk, Satoshi asks if Masamune has registered yet. The Joi at the Pokemon Center says that he hasn't, and then asks if he's a friend of Satoshi's. Satoshi says that he is, and that he's also one of his rivals.

-Kojirou dresses up in drag for the first time in a looooooong time. This time he's dressed up as Junsa.

-Orchid-Hakase tells Satoshi that he can send him his older pokemon at any time, but Satoshi declines, saying that he wants to fight in this league using only his Houen pokemon.

1) YEEESSSSSSSSS.

2) Good for him. His current team is stronger than any team he's had before; he doesn't need to resort to his old Pokemon this time.

Puts money on "One of his Hoenn Pokemon gets injured and he has to bring back token awesome Kanto poke =D"

Yay for James in drag, but I'm going to miss Ash's Snorlax kicking it's usual amount of booty. If the writers only have his six usual Pokemon to showcase, no wonder people are expecting this League to be shorter than the others.

Let's hope that Torkoal gets SOME time in the spotlight, or a new move, or SOMETHING. Anything.

Well that semi-lays to rest one long debated subject. It's somewhat worrisome though if the Hoenn league contains any six vs. six battles. No matter how strong the Pokemon you can't go more than two rounds with the exact same ones all being used at the same time. But if they're mostly 1 on 1, 3 vs. 3 etc. than he could do very well, especially given how his travelling team is now possibly twice as strong as the one he had at the end of Johto.

I'm worried but I have faith in the writers. :) I just hope that Ash's old Pokemon are showcased more in whatever major battles happen after Hoenn.

grrrrr. This isn't a good sign. The curently revealed episode titles already got me worried, but this seems to be even more evidence. If Ash only has six pokemon with him I doubt they'll show more than one 6 vs 6 battle all the way through :( If the stupid writers make this league only 5 episodes long (including this Meowth episode) they should be shot. Indigo was 7 episodes and Johto was 8, so they should at least match that. Now It's possible that they coul show two or three full battles in an episode, IF they were double battles, but knowing the writers they'll probably waste a quarter of each episode on some totally useless Team Rocket sub-plot.

Wow, this episode should be good. I wonder if the Meowth in boots is a good or an evil one?

Well as long as Ash is in the top 4 or 8 it doesn't worry me... oh heck who am I kidding if Ash loses to another friend/rival in this League I'll be really disappointed in the writers, I mean their getting predictable and not in a good way.

I really hope Professor Oak is being his usual supportive self too! :)

he looks like puss'n boots from shrek!!! hahaha

wellll Ash is mighty confident isn't he. If I were him, I'd be a bit hesitant to use jsut my houen pokemon

Mine too, and I just though it was my 98.

I also noticed when I paused it, I would unpause it and it would just freeze up.....

Sounds like something went wrong while they were uploading, and the file on the server is incomplete.
