*Note: The title is something like that... Don't blame me for my bad Japanese!

Also, sorry for not being here for, like, the last five weeks. I've been busy with university preparation exams, but now that I've finished them, I can get back to my daily distractions, which include Internet forums.

So, the preview starts out with Satoshi leading Juptor and Onigoalie into battle against a Harry Potter-esque character. Geez, first Tetsuya's Nyarth is like the Puss in Boots character from Shrek 2, and now we have a Harry Potter-esque character. Seems the writers are fans of American pop culture.

So anyway, it seems Harry Potter likes using Fire-type starter Pokémon (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?), as he's shown using Lizardon and Magmarashi. And let me tell you, when I first saw them in the preview, I thought they were Satoshi's; the Magmarashi being evolved from his Hinoarashi... One can wish?

The Lizardon seems to know some kind of move we've never seen in the show before. Blast Burn? I hope! And Satoshi's Pokémon, one an Ice-type, and one a Grass-type, take 'em on! Ouch...

The next scene shows Tetsuya facing off against a Karate guy using Bossgodra.

Here we see a Jukain, and again, I was mislead, thinking Satoshi's Juptor evolved, because remember two weeks ago, he told Professor Orchid he wanted to evolve Juptor to help him out in battles, like Lizardon did in Johto? I still hope that happens, but it looks like this is Tetsuya's Jukain.

Next scene, we see a blue-haired girl with Golduck, Mooma, and Dugtrio facing off against Satoshi's Pikachu and Onigoalie. It would've been better if he used Onigoalie and Juptor, but whatever... So we see Onigoalie using Ice Beam against Mooma, and it's not even fazing her. ...And we cut to the title card.

Satoshi = Ash
Juptor = Grovyle
Onigoalie = Glalie
Nyarth = Meowth
Lizardon = Charizard
Magmarashi = Quilava
Hinoarashi = Cyndaquil
Bossgodra = Aggron
Jukain = Sceptile
Professor Orchid = Professor Oak
Mooma = Misdreavus

Puss in Boots is a fairy tale or something character like many of the other characters in Shrek.

I know, but wasn't the character of Puss in Boots made extremely popular recently from Shrek 2? That's what I meant. ^^

Many people did seem to like the Puss in Boots from Shrek, I was just saying that he was created before Shrek.

The attack Charizard is using could be Heat Wave, since it can learn that via Move Tutor in FR/LG.

o_O. the second opponent Ash faces in the next episode is using three pokemon?? I thought He still had two double battles left before he got to the top 32. Are the writers skipping over battle again!? -_-.

Both Puss and Boots and Harry Potter stories were created in Britain. :p. I'd hardly let Americans take credit for them. ;)

Anyways, on topic, I'm happy Quilava and Charizard are appearing in this ep, even if they're not Ash's. I was very disappointed when he said he wasn't going to use any of his old Pokemon because having Cyndaquil return to evolve would have 0wned a lot more than that pathetic excuse of a fire Pokemon, Torkoal.

I hope the 2-2 match will be much better than the one in the last ep.

I'm also keen to see how Tetsuya and Masamune do. Tetsuya didn't even fight in the last ep.

* It's been ages since we've seen a Dugtrio. In fact, have we EVER seen a Diglett or Dugtrio with a trainer?

* Is anyone else vaugely surprised or disapointed the Harry Potter-doppleganger didn't have a Noctowl?

What about those old people in Johto? And didn't the guy that was getting the Voltorb and Electrode out of that one city in the Orange Islands have Diglett and Dugtrio?

I think the Harry Potter guy looks more like a conductor then a magician....

Anyway, since the blue-haired girl has 3 Pokemon, that means Ash has another one besides Glalie and Pikachu. I'm betting and I hope Swellow.

P.S. Doctor Oak: I personally think Torkoal ownz Cyndaquil.

Well, if Tetsuya has a Sceptile and Ash's Grovyle doesn't evolve (at least prior to the end of the league), this actually strengthens the chance of Ash beating Tetsuya. Usually they somehow find a way for them to have an unpredictable win, like the few Meowth vs Persian battles, Charizard vs Blastoise (type advantage), Pikachu vs Raichu, etc. Also Charizard has the type advantage over Blaziken, yet it lost ;-)

The Huuga battle in "To the Final Tournament! Everyday A Heated Battle!" seems to continue on into the next one " And.......Continue The Battle That Cannot Be Lost". Sceptile appears to be Tetsuya's. The only way it isnt is if they are tricking us which I very much doubt. We now know that ash is not getting a sceptile unless they are doing the whole meet the pokemon and then capture/evolve a pokemon routine. I suspect the move Charizard is using is Heat wave as stated above since it looks like waves or something. Are all the battles in this episode 3 on 3 or is it just that one battle?
Huuga = Harry Potter

Um, Ash never said that.

Fire-types rool!

I would say that that Trainer that Ash is fighting at the opening would definately be Harry Potter if he has a Shiny white Noctowl (fans of the HP universe will know what I mean :p ).

Seriously, though, seeing a Charizard and a Typhlosion double-teaming would be pretty awesome. With the exception of the 'super' Pokémon of each region (Dragonite, Tyranitar and Metagross) they are probably amongst the most impressive powerhouses that you could expect a Pokémon Trainer to use. Can you tell that I am a fire-type fan? ;-)

I will be generous and assume that Ash selected Grovyle and Glalie before he saw an all fire-type line up (including a fire/flying-type - 4x weakness for Grovyle). However, knowing Ash's sometimes eccentric tactical decisions and his tendancy to believe in his Pokémon and do the best he can irrespective of their abilities relative to their opponents, I can't say that I'm too sure. :rolleyes:

I know, Satoshi did. :p Just a little... weird humor there.

He didn't say it directly, but the writers certainly hinted at it, having Satoshi say things like "Lizardon-tachi helped me last time, Juptor-tachi will help me fight this time", etc. He certainly sees Juptor as the head of his current team, being the strongest (probably along with Pikachu), most serious, etc.

Not to mention the similarities between Lizardon and Juptor -- both are uber-serious badasses who don't fool around, both are starter Pokémon, both are lizard-like species, etc.

From what I can remember, this was said in AG 125, where Satoshi was on the phone with Professor Orchid.

That doesn't mean it'll evolve though... If anything it means it WONT....

I'd say that was just him trying to explain away the stupidity of saying he wasn't going to use any of his old Pokemon. Afterall, he couldn't base it on the strength of Torkoal or even Glalie. Grovyle IS his secondary power-house next to Pikachu.

If the Sceptile in the next ep does belong to Tetsuya, I really can't see Ash's Grovyle evolving. We'll have had our exposure to the thing meaning the producers wont have to find another way to get it in.

Quite frankly, if that is Ash's Grovyle evolved... ugh. Sceptile should never have even happened in the games, let alone in the anime. It'd be a disaster. It'd lose it's bad-ass ninja moves and look stupid at the same time.

I recall that back at the 4th gym a lot of people were saying that Ash couldn't possibly catch a Torkoal because it had already been featured as one of the gym leader's pokemon, but then he caught one anyway. I don't think that just because another contestant has a Sceptile it means Ash can't get one too.
