From the TV-Tokyo site:

While traveling through a forest, Satoshi and his friends find themselves trapped in a net! It is soon revealed that the trap was set by a Dogohmb trainer named Mitsuo, who was aiming to capture the balloon pokemon Purin instead. After Satoshi and his friends are freed, Mitsuo reveals that he wants to capture the pokemon for his daughter, Lisa! Will they succeed?

It's not the same Jigglypuff that has been following Ash around.

This is a silly question, but how do you pronounce 'Dogohmb'?
Well, its Japanese name is romanized dogoomu, and that's pronounced something like doh-GOH-moo. So it doe-GOME or perhaps even doe-GOM.
I understand why that h is there (double o's are sometimes romanized as oh), but not the b. Is it supposed to be like bomb, or is mu at the end of a word sometimes romanized as mb, or what?

Dogohmb is the official romanisation. I think the mb is to emphasise pun on something, not sure what.

I have yet to hear a reasonable explanation of why the Purin in this episode isn't THE Purin. I'm having doubts myself, but it's still entirely possible that it could be the same one.

Does THE Purin breathe fire? Because this one definitely uses some sort of fire attack.

If you're going by information found at SPP, don't.

It WAS Serebii who said he was about 95% sure that Ash would be using a Rental Charizard against Noland and what happened? <.<;;;

The only safe thing to assume is that we won't know until the actual Episode debuts.

Am I the only one who doesn't like alot of the added 3-D elements appearing in Episodes lately? I noticed this one has 3-D musical notes as the group fell asleep.

You're not alone. Sing has gone without floating musical notes for over seven years, and I thought it was fine as it was. Adding the CG effects was completely unnecessary and it just looks tacky.

I preferred the non-CG flamethrower as well. :/

If it was the Jigglypuff we know, we would have seen the marker. Every scene in that trailer shows a Jiggly without a marker. Not to mention, since when did Jigglypuff know Flamethrower?

It's not the same Jigglypuff.

I'm holding off judgement until after the episode has aired, myself.

Any chance May might catch it? I kid, I kid... :p

I'm looking forward to this episode because Jigglypuff is my all time favorite pokemon. Even if it's not THE Jigglypuff I'm still happy to see one, and this particular puff looks like it can kick some butt in battle. I think the CGI effects in the preview looked good and so did the normal animation.

I wish the animators would stop using CGI so damn much. Excluding (some of) the movies, any CGI these people use just looks out of place and only emphasizes how bad the 2D animation is.

OLM, stop looking to the animation for Zoids for inspiration.
