Airs Thursday, March 9th on TV-Tokyo
From the TV-Tokyo website:

Haruka hopes to get her fourth Contest Ribbon at the Aberia Convention. Haruka decides that her Eevee is ready to try a shot on the Contest stage, so she decides to use the pokemon in the Contest. Meanwhile, a Pokemon Breeder named Yuza praises Takeshi and the way he takes care of his pokemon. Therefore, Takeshi decides to enter the Contest with his Usohachi...
 
There is an Absol in this contest, that's pretty surprising. I hope it belongs to someone important...

May is using Squirtle for the appeal, Eevee for battle.

Brock is using Marshtompt for the appeal, Bonsly for battle.

Whoever battles that Absol I hope has a struggle to take it down. I'd hate to see an Absol in a Contest and for it not to do anything. :/
 
It seems like may's really impressed by him when she's looking at the screen as he's making his appeal. I'm really impressed that marshtomp is so well trained with it's attacks.
 
Hrm... much more than anything else, the preview makes me unhopeful that Brock could win. I could be wrong, but the preview seems to have the tone of May being like "Oh noes, can I beat Brock? ='(" This implies it will focus much more on May trying to overcome Brock than anything else, which, storywise, leans heavily in favor of a conclusion with May winning. Nuts.

Granted, though, the preview has been very misleading before, and at the most unusual of times... perhaps this is wishful thinking, but I can't help but wonder if they're just setting up a larger upset for Brock winning? It's not a theory I'd place money on, though.

Still, if I am correct in interpreting the tone of the preview, the only upside to it is that it also favors Brock having the upper hand for most of the battle, and May winning by the skin of her teeth, and likely even needing deus ex machina to win - while this wouldn't be quite the same as Brock winning, it still would do some badly needed credit to his talent. A silver lining if this has any for us Brock fans.

All the same, I'll still be cheering for Brock. Never hurts to hold onto hope.
 
I'm not a brock fan as such but I think it's about time people are reminded of exactly how talented the guy is. And we've been seeing may win and battle so many times now would be nice to see brock display his experience and see bonsly put it's emotions aside and completely go all out. because I think she might underestimate it (plus would love to see bonsly's sneering smile) and some good attacks.
 
I hope we get to see the battle before the final battle so that we at least see a victory for Brock, even if May gets the ribbon. And May will get the ribbon because there is only one filler between this and Ash's arrival at the Battle Tower.
 
I agree, in that case I want to see Brock take down that Absol. He'll have a hard time beating an Absol with a Bonsly, but if he can do it it'll show that he's still a very competent battler.

I expect May to win since this episode will advance her story arc, but I hope for a close match regardless. Please let there be no cop-outs writers, I don't want anything stupid like a tie or something. I want a clear victor over the other, especially since if May wins I don't want her to get any pity ribbons, like Ash got some of his pity Kanto badges.

Anyone else notice that Bonsly has turned Brock into a chick magnet? So after all this time all Brock needed was a baby Pokemon to attract the ladies, who would have thunk it?
 
You know coming to think of it since bonsly has been with him he seems to be more suave and with that he's getting more response from the chicks. Go bonsly whatever he's teaching brock seems to be working. Now just to take may down and better that absol too.
 
Brock better come out of this episode lookin' reeeeeal good. That's all I'm saying.

A different scenario could be Brock giving the ribbon to the girl (token of affection), then having her reveal that she has actually been doing this at many contest houses already and now qualifies for the Grand Festival. Brock's heart is broken, and May vows to get revenge for him when they meet at the GF.

That's enough bad fanfiction out of me.

I also thought about how Squirtle is doing the appeal again. I have a weird thing about ice appeals, so I'll totally enjoy every minute of it.

Jessie needs to be a part of this contest. Not to mention all those other coordinators who seem to be stalking the gang.

Actually, I could see something like that happening - I can't be the only one who's getting bad vibes from that girl, can I? She's pretty, but she's also got a look about her that tells me she could be up to something.

I am quite excited for this episode as stated in the following reasons...

1. Brock in a contest, this could be an interesting concept as i think breeders would be well suited for them.

2. yay for bonsly

3. The Shady Woman is an interesting and not surprising addition.

4. BROCK v. MAY!

I see what you mean... well another thing is that neither May nor Brock may win the contest. Maybe that Absol will kick butt... ._.
 
I don't see anyone other than Brock or May winning. Besides, it does seem to be the main battle of the episode.

I agree, that woman looks like the devil.

She doesn't even seem to be the type of girl that Brock usually falls for either. She seems to be quite old in fact, like she's in her 30's or something?

That image does make it look like she's not what she seems or something. Quite frankly, she scares me.

Yeah, but it was just another random thought of what could happen. ._. But I think May's going to win... cuz then it would be Ash's Battle Tower match and then after that there would only be two things left. One more symbol and one more ribbon.
