The other thread's dead and was just for the TV series so I made this one for the manga, OVA, movie, minigoddess series, and TV series. AMG's my favorite anime. Anyone else like it? ^_^
I like what I've seen of the anime, but I'm actually a pretty weak fan. I picked up one of the manga years ago, not realizing it was near the end of the series. I've seen lots of the anime at cons, but I only own all of the Adventures of the Mini Goddesses. I've seen the ending of the movie a couple of times, but never the beginning, and I believe I've seen good chunks of the OAV and the TV series.
They're on my list to buy, but there's a lot of anime on that list.
I really enjoyed the series. I've read most of the manga and from what I can tell there's probably not much room for a second season unless they make it just a bizarre patchwork. I especially liked episode, what was is, 12.5, when Belldandy and Keiichi discuss their feelings, that was a nice touch. Near the end I thought it degenerated into randomness and kind of ignored the Belldandy/Keichi relationship in favor of random plots with the other goddesses (is it just me or is Skuld a lot more annoying in the anime than in the manga), but the last five minutes were neat.
If they do make a second season they should do the Queen Sa...err, what's her name? You know the one, with the campus turned into a palace of brainwashed people... anyway, they should do that. That was a very plot. "Go back to where you belong!" Ah, brilliant... I am bad with names but I have both the series and the manga on DVD which I could put in my computer and double-check, but your name is Belldandy so I assume you must be enough of a fan that you remember this stuff.
Never really could get into the anime, either the TV or OVA, though the movie at least was alright, assuming you'd read enough of the manga to understand what was going on. The manga is a classic, still ongoing in Japan (It's 20 years+ old now, IIRC), and it's a shame that other "harem" style series couldn't take an example from it, and cut down on the senseless fanservice.
