I think you just have to have "parental permission" to join. I wasn't aware of an age limit.

Pursuing SY's confusion, there is no age limit. However, if you are under 13 (I think it's 13), you need parental permission, which is included in the terms and conditions anyway.

I tryed to join and it said, "Thank you for joining but you are not valid to join." Or something like that.

Really? I've never known anyone else have that problem. Hmmm.
The only other problem would be your location. Assuming you live in an area where AIM is obligated, which should in theory be pretty much the entire planet, I don't know what it's playing at.

You must be 13 to join AIM. Same with most social networking sites.
