Wow, um, that was certainly a very strange thing for 4Kids to do......

I guess the big company doesn't realize what kind of a man he really is. Or maybe Khan hides his "personal attitude towards anime and stuff" at work or something, so nobody else knows about it, lol. ^^o

It's like Millen with the Lions. They're the worst team in Football and yet the bastard got a contract extention.

Great, six more years of Preda-Kahn in which no anime is safe.
 
I hope they do voices for American shows, since Ninja Turtle is actually good. They seem better at that.
 
I doubt 4Kids will be targeting any more anime from now on...or if they do, they'll target some obscure kids' series that no one really cares about.
 
The Lions sell out Ford Field every week. Doesn't erase the fact their 2-13 this year and Millen can't run a football team.

4Kids profits are down, though. While in the past they simply weren't making as much as they were, they've recently started actually losing money. With no major revenue-generating properties at the moment, 4Kids' days seem to be numbered.

That's why this whole "giving Al Kahn a raise" thing is so preposterous.
 
Well, actually, it goes something like this:
1. CEO wants to leave troubled company
2. Troubled company wants to keep CEO
3. Therefore, troubled company offers a considerable bonus/pay-rise to CEO
4. CEO accepts and hastens the doom of troubled company
 
But why would 4Kids even want to keep Kahn around? His prehistoric business practices are what's causing the company to be so troubled in the first place!
 
I think that a big reason 4Kids clings to Al Kahn, is because of the hype and reputation he carries. Throughout the industry he is credited as "the marketing genius behind Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh" READ: even though those properties practically sell themselves, and other companies (Nintendo, and Konami respectively) maintained and oversaw the central products of the franchises.

For 4Kids, losing the "genius" would only bring about further bad press, and loss of faith among the investors. Which is the last thing they need considering the losses over the last two years. So I can see why 4Kids would be so eager to keep Kahn, despite his questionable practices.
