Alaka-Help!

I just challeneged a freind of mine to a generation 3 battle in a months time, we don't have competitive teams yet. So i started Ev training a Alakazam to be my special sweeper, i'm about half done and it just occured to me i have no idea for a moveset. Physcic is an obvious choice, but what else? I was thinking maybe thunderbolt? (since my freind is destined to have at least one Gyarados)

Any thoughts?




Also, I'm thinking of having a dragonite as a physical sweeper? Any suggestions for a move set?

I'd go with the physcic and use calm mind and thunderpunch with it. calm mind to boost the special attacks, and the thunderpunch can take care of that gyrados that your friend will have, and also you could have recover on there to heal up your alakazam and keep the sweep going. or you could go for a fire punch to take out a possible metagross. and the reason that i suggested the thunderpunch over thunderbolt is because alakazam cant learn it, a calm mind thunderpunch will do the same amount of damage. hope this helped.
