Okay so my friends and me made a little bet that I couldn't make a deecently competitive All flying tpye team. And I'm trying to prove them wrong, alot of my strategy revolves around forming a baton pass chain and hoping I can pass along enough to sweep. It's done good so far but I've noticed there are some problems. So far notably Stealth Rock kinda hurts and ice moves. Here's my team, offer any advice.

Ninjask @ Sitrus Berry
Hasty, Speed Boost
252 HP 176 Def 80 Speed
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
Substitute
X-Scissor

My normal lead. Basically sub turn one for a free speed boost and keep on subing until I can't anymore, then pass on usually 3-4 speed boosts. Swords Dance is for if I'm lucky to sneak it in. X-Scissor is for the rare instance Ninjask needs to attack. Not sure what to do about his item though.

Drifblim @ Leftovers
Calm, Aftermath
252 HP 252 Def 6 SpDef
Baton Pass
Calm Mind
Substitute
Shadow Ball

Usually I end up passing from Ninjask to this. It's huge substitutes are great to pass but also I can usually get in a calm mind or two. Shawdow ball is once again in case of emergency, which is actually kinda funny since once I swept a team with it and a few Calm minds.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish, Hyper Cutter
252 HP 108 Def 108 Speed
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
Roost
Earthquake

My usual SD passer. Or he'll take whatever stats he recieves and uses earthquake. Roost hasn't been too much help, I'm thinking of switching it for another Substitute should I?

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Calm, Serene Grace
252 HP 64 SpAtk 192 SpDef
Baton Pass
Nasty Plot
Air Slash
Roost

This is kinda my filler pokemon, I couldn't think of a sixth so I put him in. Any good replacement Ideas are appreciated. Right now my plan is to just pass nasty plots, although grace doubling Air Slash's flinch rate has helped sometimes.

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Adamant Inner Focus
252 Attack 252 Speed 6 Def
Aqua Tail
Fire Punch
Earthquake
Outrage

My physical finisher. This provides nice coverage and with a decent amount of boosts can easily sweep. I added a Lum berry to cure the confusion from outrage when/if used

Salamence @ Scope Lens
Modest, Intimidate
252 SpAtk 252 Speed 6 HP
Draco Meteor
Dragon Pulse
Flamethrower
Hydro Pump

My special sweeper. PRetty much the oppsite of Dragonite. Should I change one of the dragon-type moves? and if so, to what?

Change Dragonite or Salamence (Probably Dragonite) to something like Skarmory or Gyarados so you have some Ice neutrality.

The team is built well... you have a physical wall (Gliscor), some special bulk (Drifblim and Togekiss), physical attacking (Ninjask, Gliscor, Salamence, and Dragonite), and special attacking (Togekiss and Drifblim). However, for the most part, Stealth Rock tears this team to bits. Spikes and Toxic Spikes aren't a problem anymore, but Stealth Rock wipes a quarter of everything's HP except Gliscor. You really need a Spinner, and there is no Flying-type Pokémon that gets Rapid Spin...

Interesting, but a bad idea.

EDIT: Actually, Delibird gets Rapid Spin, but seeing as it is going to take 50% damage just on switching in to get rid of the rocks, and it really sucks, it's not going to do well.

Intresting team, but as Wiil said, its not a great idea. I'd probably replace Dragonite with Charizard with Outrage and Blast burn instead of aqua tail and Fly to avoid an attack and do damage or substatute so you can use blast burn and recharge without being hit if you can, instead of fire punch.

Maybe replace Gliscor with Crobat so you can have a good poison basis, so then you have:

Bug
Ghost
Poison (so you can poison)
Normal
Fire (Instead of another dragon to negate the bad ice weaknesses)
Dragon

To be quite honest, Shinx3000, that moveset is made of fail. Blast Burn is a horrible move to begin with (along with any other variant of Hyper Beam), and Fly should only be used in very few and specific occasions. Charizard can't really use it all that well. That's all a bunch of ideas that just won't work. Charizard's Substitute is most likely going to break in first place, and it only makes the weakness to Stealth Rock worse (Charizard takes 50% while Dragonite only takes 25%). I can't think of any case in which Outrage should be used on a Pokémon that doesn't get STAB for it.

to reiterate the past point *and because ii like to hear myself talk*

Stealth Rock Weakness=flaw in Flying only team.
Couple that with your huge weakness to Ice (Ice Beam) and I would say this team < Failure.

Single type teams are hard to do. I wouldnt start with flying. A Bug Type Team is much better for it.

Otherwise, I would suggest adding in Skarmory, Swellow, Honchkrow and Yanmega as lead. All tremendous pokemon. course most fail in an all flying type team <.>

I do like the idea of swapping Dragonite for gyarados, I'm thinking of going with

Gyarados @ Expert Belt
Adamant Intimidate
140 HP 252 Atk 118 Speed
Aqua Tail
Ice Fang
Stone Edge
Earthquake

If I add Skarmory (Which I still might to replace Togekiss) I'd probably go with

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Impish Keen Eye
252 HP 64 Atk 192 Def
Drill Peck
Whirlwind
Spikes
Roost

not too sure yet about him though

As for Charizard, as stated, that's not a very good idea. And Crobat just seems too weak

Oh and DCM, ironically, this isn't my first all single type, I did do a bug befroe, and it was quite good. I've tossed around the ideas of Yanmega and Honchkrow, never thought of swellow, thanks for suggesting that

for Gyrados, Get rid of Stone Edge. Fire and Flying are covered, very few run bug types that can stop Gyrados, and Ice is type coverage thats not as essential. swap Dragon Dance in in its place, first turn D-Dance

Skarmory thats a typical set.

Crobat is often underestimated. it gets Hypnosis, it gets Brave Bird, and roost (THATS NOT A SET. DONT USE THEM ALL.)

For him I reccommend Brave Bird/Roost/U turn/ Taunt

or Hypnosis/U Turn/ Ariel Ace / Cross Poison

try a Yanmega lead. Theyre often underestimated.

BTW thats
Yanmega@Focus Sash
modest nature
Protect/Hypnosis
Bug Buzz
Air slash
Hp Ice

Simply addign Wish over Roost to Togekiss can really help your whole "I'm gonna die to Stealth Rock" thing, and its not really a baton pass chain if you break it at Dragonite or Salamence.

Well I always focus sash ninjask
ninjask@focus sash
protect
swords dance
slash
baton pass

protect first turn , then swords dance , protect again , baton pass.

Even if you were going to use that set, what's the point of Slash? It doesn't even get STAB...

Use X-Scissor if you're going to use that set.
