Just figured I'd let you know, posted this on SPP yesterday

Castform and Cherrim have been given official US Form names and selection screen sprites in this game. We already knew Cherrim did (with their Jp names being Negative & Positive Forms), but I didn't know Castform did so I'm spreading just in case

Castform;

Normal

Sunny Form

Rainy Form

Snowy Form

Cherrim;

Overcast Form
421-s.gif
Sunshine Form

Notice they don't have the e at the end of it. I was informed of this several months ago (but not the names else I'd have posted them) and was told that only legendaries have the word "Forme" in their form names

In case you still don't believe me

Surprising... Origin Forme
and then they suddenly revert to form

Well as I said, according to my contact, only legendaries have the name "Forme"

Oh now this is what I'm talking about. Having formality for the legends, and casualness for the non legends. The names also seem to make sense, so its all good. I wonder if the Shiny Pichu gets a special form name as PCP in the game as well.

It doesn't. I've checked

Great, they chose to go with Overcast and Sunshine. Positive/Negative would've been very stupid names for Cherrim's forms.

I agree. The formal e does work for the legends.

None of these are particularly surprising, since these are exactly what I called them anyways.

I just wish there was a way to choose which form shows up in your Pokedex, because Cherrim's overcast form (which, for most of us, is the first form we encounter it in-game) is retarded, and it'd be nice to have Unown A as the one in the dex.

I whish this too. Ironically in the case of Pikachu, as the first one we see it's a female, but the official illustration (and the ones who appear throughout all the Pokémon franchise) depicts a male.

^This. I was the REALLY lucky one who saw a female wobuffett before a male one, and that pokedex entry looks terrible.

Same here, man. I feel your pain.

Side note: Just used the actual "Search" function" of my Pokedex, and the loading screen is a Slowpoke doing the Johnny Bravo. So.... that's fantastic.

So true. Luckily I encountered a male Wobbuffet first, the female one would be a pain to watch in the dex main page. Unfortunately Unown A was the second form I saw, the first was G. This time I'll get the Deoxys' Normal Forme first, since I don't really like the other forms as much. In Platinum, I saw a Speed Forme first.
