As we know in X/Y xnereas yvetal zygrade mewtwo(despite being able to be soft reseted for a shiny before) and yes EVEN SNORLAX ( on the bridge) are shiny locked. I would say this applies to legendary pokemon only but the bird trio can still be found shiny in x/y plus snorlax is shiny locked when hes on the bridge. So does this mean from now on all pokemon in the overworld will be shiny locked? :conangry: So no more shiny legendary pokemon I guess, except for roamers.

Oh really? This sounds like a load of bull especially since they don't seem to release the Pokemon that are shiny in events or so. (where's my damn shiny Celebi I've been waiting for for years?! I want my shiny Reshiram!)

But will they keep it or will it now turn into events? If so I bet it'll only be a Japan recent as the shiny Genesect was... well I can now see the rise of the cloners!

You know, if they didn't do this crap, that then they'd be worrying less about hacked pokemon. >.> Like seriously, the second I can get my hands on a 3ds action replay and a shiny code, I'm making Yveltal shiny because that shiny Yveltal is kicking.
I'm sorry if that sounds bad, but seriously...And they wonder why people hack so bad. Is it really that big of a crime to have a shiny Xerneas or something?? Or what?? I'm so confused by this it's not even funny... D:

I don't really get what's so game-breaking about a shiny Victini or Xerneas. I mean, really? Why? Doing this won't solve whatever "problem" their shininess creates, but makes another by encouraging people to hack for their shiny legends. Hacking is worse than soft resetting, imo...

Based off of the Bulbapedia entry for shinies, the only shiny locked Pokémon are Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde. Just sayin'

I'll just leave this here. Retrieved from the Bulbapedia article titled "Shiny Pokémon"View attachment 95247

Not sure if you're referring to only Gen VI, but the article lists all unobtainable shiny Pokemon here, with shiny locked Pokemon starting at Gen V.

Yes, I was referring to only Gen VI, because people were only talking about X and Y and how a bunch of Pokémon that aren't shiny locked are. Ever since Gen II, there have been shiny locks, but I was only talking about Mewtwo, Snorlax, and the Legendary Birds. I should know about Mewtwo, I actually SRd him and got him shiny. Took up a crud-load of time, but it was worth it.

Will they ever do an event to distribute the shiny locked Pokemon? I do think it's very stupid as why create a shiny of the Pokemon, code it and never have it used? It makes no sense to me...

And since GameFreak has such a huge issue over people hacking their games then why do they do this? It just encourages hackers... and it just seems unfair to both hackers and people who play legit as hackers can't use the shinies out side of their games.

Of course there's nothing special about shinies except their palette swap and rareness but shiny Victini and Zygarde are so cool!

I really wish that they wouldn't do this. I really do. If I want to sit in front of a Legendary and SR until it sparkles, I should be able to do that. It's my Pokemon and I won't be trading it so who does it hurt? Do they really feel it's unfair for those who don't SR for that Legend? If we're going to go down that route, how about we get rid of Natures and IVs, since not everyone has the time to breed "that there perfect 'Mon"? All slag like this does is give people an excuse to hack their games.

Come on, GF. Just stop. You're only hurting yourself here.
