My real venture into forums was at Serebii.net, where I joined around January 2005 as Raichu'sStatic. Then I changed my name to Intimidator. I was actually at BMGf as [X]Raibolt, but none of you remember that and it was several months ago when SPP was down. So around June, I found out about Groudon80 and his forums. That's when it all went downhill-it was messy.

So then I went to PokeCommunity. I hated it. That's when I swore off forums for good. A few months later I decided to go for one last swing and went to Insanity v2.0, but it didn't have that lively feel to it.

Anyway...

I've reborn from the ashes of the old Internet Me and want to start off fresh. I think this is a good place, away from Serebii's unfairness and tyranny. So...yeah.

Hi. Just one question then I'll get out of your hair.

Where are the rules?

Wow, it's more common sense than anything! Not like Serebii who has his tyrannical grip on the members and quells attempts for people to express themselves. :p

That sounds familiar.

Bienvenu à BMGf! J'espère que vous vous amusez ici.
Wait. You're four years younger than I am. o_O I think that means I can use the tu form....

I honestly don't care if you use tu or vous.

Is it "I think you'll be amused here?"

Greetings. And yes, the rules are mostly common sense stuff. (Too bad many people here lack that.) This is a pretty nice board, at least among Pokemon-related boards. :p

Actually, it's "I hope you have a good time here."

Yeah, it can be quiet, but at least we don't have "OMG female mr mime!!?"-type threads popping up.

Couldn't J'espère tu vas une bonne experience ici also work? But anyway...

I wonder why the RMT section hasn't gotten off the ground. Of course, if it was called that...

Hi, I hope, you will stay on Bulbagarden. Some people join and they even don't post. Our forum is much smaller than fat sppf, but what can I say? People don't post so forum isn't like sppf. But polite people are here. Its a big plus.

One always needs to put in the conjunction "que". In English, one can drop the "that," but not in French. Also, "vas" is the tu form of "aller" (to go); I think you were thinking of "as" (tu form of "avoir" [to have]). And from what I can tell, "avoir une bonne expérience" means to have good experience, not to have a good experience.
French is crazy like that. :ksmile:

Of course, if I've said something wrong there, I would love it if someone more experienced in French corrected me.

So even though there's "un", I have to put "que" to make it the same as an English "a"? Weird.

And I learned that aller can be used as "to will", but there's sera and verbe infinitif+as (like Etreas, Mangeras). Right?

No, but J'espère que tu AURAIS une bonne experience ici would.

Huh?

...

Oh, wait. Do you mean as using aller (to go) for indicating future? Oh yes.

I will [insert verb here i.e. to buy] or I'm going to [insert verb here i.e. to buy] a car tomorrow:

Je vais acheter une voiture demain. OR J'achèterai une voiture demain.

That clear, Bonjour, and Wilkommen to Bulbagarden Forums. Enjoy your time here! :-D
