Saw this over on Toon Zone:

Some weird stuff going on in a couple of weeks.

"Tag! We're It", the episode after Dawn's Early Light (whatever number that is), will be airing on Friday February 1st at 7:00 PM. After that, some sort of one hour unnamed special will air (could be two episodes too, as they're listed in half-hour slots).

The new episode and hour of whatever will also air that Saturday morning at 9:30. Any clues as to what that is?

Sorry if my memory is a bit fuzzy, but that's the arc where Chimchar goes over to Ash's team, right?

Yes. And is that the real title? If so I almost guessed it right!

CN was doing so good with the once-a-week schedule, too =/

Though this is kind of nice, in that "If I have it now, there will be consequences later" sort of way.

Tag Battle Mini-Arc dub. At last.

Who can't wait to know Honoka's and Kouhei's dub name?

Sadly, I'm sure that their name will be Hannah and Cody, respectively. I can predict every PUSA's move since "Kenny".

Other than that, I hope the dub turns out good.

I never watch American episodes (but that may be because I don't live in America). But I always liked to hear the news, new dub names and new screw-ups (and good jobs, too). After 1st February, we're going to have an age of no news. Bye bye, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. And don't forget that Season 11 is going to be done by a different company. Will it be better, or worse? We'll find out in Fall.

"At last"!?!? It's been a measly four months!

No it's not. It's still being done by PUSA. The only thing that'll change is the building the voice actors report to for work. Everything else will be the same.

If someone can clarify this for me, but for American TV seasons, they end around 50, no? What number would this be? I was thinking with the new episodes they're getting awfully close to the end of Season 10.

Isn't it just the actors that are contracted to PUSA? Surely this would mean that the writers, directors and music co-ordinators will all be under the hire of whoever owns this building? Those are all a lot more conducive to the quality of the dub than the actors are...

Ah, I see....

If this news is true, then it will be interesting to see 3 new episodes of D/P, back-to-back like that. I mean, that's good, because these episodes are all tied together, for the tag battle arc. So not having to wait for them is good, in that sense. ^^

About the new dub company, some people are speculating that it might be DuArt (the company that dubbed the Pikachu short for the 9th movie).

Personally, I have no idea who the new dubbing company is gonna be. I just find it really strange that, after using TAJ for only 2 years, Pokemon USA suddenly decides to stop using them as the dubbing studio. Talk about weird! O_O

If I really understood this "change of dubbing company" thing, I wonder if SOVA got through them.

Hey, anything is possible! ^^

And when things like this happen, I'm usually optimistic (I'm a positive person in general, always thinking on the bright side of things)

Oh, and not to start any debates or anything, but you know, there was the whole redubbing of the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon special. And I've always wondered what Pokemon USA's *real reason* was for doing that. XD

Sorry, Scott, but I don't remember seeing anything confirming whether or not they'll be using the same voice cast....

In fact, we still don't know which dubbing studio they'll be using. So unless you know something about this that the rest of us don't know, I don't think they've officially said anything about the VAs yet.

Although, you're probably referring to what Sarah said earlier. She said something about Pokemon USA keeping the current VA cast on her My Space page. But, it's not like Sarah is someone important who works for Pokemon USA or anything. I'm just saying I don't think she would know everything that goes on there behind the scenes (the original VAs thought they knew what was going on, but look what happened to them).

But anyway, yeah, I think we should drop this discussion now, seeing as how it's so controversial. *hides from people*

Let's try and get this thread back on topic now. ^^;

They had to have told them something, it's not like this was all behind their backs or anything.

I know CN's rushing with these five episodes, but it's been quite a while since they rushed through anything this fast, so let's hope this is just a one time thing this time.

Yeah, I suppose you're right about that, Jounichi. ^^;

I was just trying to stay hopeful about this.

Oh well. Anyway, I'm looking forward to those tag battle episodes. They should be pretty good! ^_^

And wait, 5 episodes? Apparently, there are only 3 episodes which are part of the tag battle thing. So which other 2 episodes are you talking about?

This is a really smart move on CN's part. We all know how good the tag battle arc is, and apparently they do too. By airing it all in prime time, they're giving people a better chance of seeing it who normally may not bother to watch/record because of Pokemon's early hour, and it's sure to be a big ratings hit.

Aside from the endless reruns that will follow this, it's a shame they aren't airing "Hikozaru's Tears!" with this, as it really belongs together will these three episodes. (It'd also have it be a nice even two hour block.) But at least Season 11 will start on a high note.
