For those of you who remember, earlier this year, Hasbro held a worldwide vote as to which cities should be on the Monopoly: World Edition board.

The results are now in, http://www.hasbro.com/games/kid-gam...em&newsID=DB7DFA53-D56F-E112-458E61859535CD3D

Poland, Taiwan, Japan, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Canada, Italy, China, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, France, Serbia, South Africa and Latvia all managed to place at least one city on the new board; all of them have exactly one city, except China and Canada with three each (Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong; and Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto).

It seems my fellow Canadians and Montrealers abused the "vote every day option", at least enough to put Montreal in the top spot.

Random selection is random, but funny that the vote could be trolled like that. No cities from South America is surprising, but then again you wouldn't want to live there. I think they could have left out Serbia and Latvia for Germany and Sweden, but that's just personal preference. The game will undoubtedly be popular in China and Canada, which might be useful considering the markets (especially the size of the Chinese market).

You're kidding!!! The campaign to get an Israeli city in there worked?! Wow, the world is full of Jews and fundie Christians, isn't it.

This is a good selection. Though I'm really confused about Gdynia. What is THAT doing on the list? That's the one city I've never heard of...

Ohhhh okay Danzig. Now I know.

Probably the south Americans were too tired after spamming up the New Seven Wonders vote...
