How do you feel about the Ash/Latias pairing?

I, for one, support it completely.

I think its another one-sided one-timer Ash ship. So I dont have a problem with it, but I've never really supported it.

I don't support mainly because I don't support and HumanxPokemon ships. And also because Latias most likely won't appear again.

Huh...

Wonder why I started this thing to begin with?

Meh, well.

With these ships, morality is slaughtered, butchered, and sold on the market.

Of course, slaughter isn't slaughter without laughter :P.

I support it, of course one-sided on Latias's side. But it's one of the one-time-never-to-be-seen-again things, so I don't really ship it, but I like it.

First, is there absolute proof it is Latias that kissed Ash? Bulbapedia seems to make both options, Bianca and Latias as Bianca, seem almost equally probable. And then it could still just have been a tender goodbye kiss, remember Latias must have felt pretty shook up after losing her brother, and now losing a newly found close friend...

I think it was a cute moment, whether it was Latias or not, but since Ash never even mentioned this afterwards, I'm afraid it has impressed Brock and Misty more than it did Ash...

As a ship, I could support if it was Bianca, (although it would never be my preferred ship) but as Latias it should not be developed further, or a line will be crossed, in my opinion.

It must have been Latias. She didn't say anything, plus the other girl never showed a liking to Satoshi.

I think it's a cute ship, and I like that it's something different.

Well, Bianca did soften up after she noticed Ash was not just any trainer, trying to capture Latias or Latios. And about not speaking, she may have been shy. Even hot-headed types like her can be very timid in other aspects such as love.

Heh, I thought it was clear that it was Latias.

This is what our trusty Bulbapedia says about it in Altoshipping:

"At the end of the movie when Ash is about to leave, Latias runs up to Ash and kisses Ash on the cheek. While the possibility of it being Bianca is noted, the fact that she does not speak and is not wearing the white beret means that Latias is the more likely of the two."

So it is more likely that it is Latias, but it is not 100% certain. Bianca may even have done this on purpose, not speaking, because she is shy to address Ash directly about her feelings, or just because she wanted to keep a little secrecy about it.

And maybe the writers intended this to be a dilemma, making viewers leave the theathre wondering whether it was Latias or Bianca, and they certainly have succeeded in that, since even now we are still talking about it...

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i think i have made my thoughts clear with that.

I very much support Altoshipping. Human x Pokemon ships can be very adorable. Plus Latias is a cute as cute, cute thing.

Can't argue with that, it is one of my favorite Pokémon, also in the DS-games.

That's how it's meant to be.

I'm against it. I think human x pokémon ships are disgusting, and the people in the pokémon world probably too (just look at how we in the real world look at bestiality)

Well, I like this ship. It's cute. We will probobly never see Latias or Bianca again, but it was a cute ship while it lasted. I still don't understand why are you against it... it didn't look and is not disguisting.

I think no one will disagree about the crush being cute, if it is Latias, but the idea of them being romantically involved beyond a single kiss, is a step too far for many, I think. A Pokémon is still no human being, although they undoubtly have emotions...

Their world =/= our world. People in their world operate at a much more intimate level with their partners than we do with our animals, simply because pokémon showcase a very human-like intelligence far surpassing anything we have in our own reality.

And then there's the eternal proof that someone writing the script for the game thought the same thing (for which all enjoyers of Human/pogey relationships have rammed down the throats of nonbelievers, to the point where it's getting extremely old-hat to even bring up anymore):

"There once were Pokémon that
became very close to humans.
There once were humans and Pokémon
that ate together at the same table.
It was a time when there existed no
differences to distinguish the two.

In the literal translation of Sinnoh Folk Story 3, the myth originally referred to Pokémon and people marrying each other."
