I never got into nicknaming my Pokes for some reason.

Is this the WRONG thing to do?

Haha, I don't think it's wrong. Half the time I don't really name mine either. Or, I just name the first few I catch.

I think it's mostly accepted both nicknaming or not...

Just look at the mewtwo movie, there were two trainers who nicknamed their blastoise and venusaur, as opposed to the mayority of them at the time. I thought that was a nice reference to the games.

Not at all. In real life, nicknames are usually given to close friends, so one could apply that here.

No, but it's kind of lame. I used to never do it back when I was in elementary school. Now I always do, usually by a theme. Sapphire was Hispanic names, FireRed was Fire Emblem 9 characters, Diamond was constellations, and Platinum will be first names of classical composers. It's more personal when you name them. The ones you actually use, at least.

I dont nickname mine either (for the most part), merely out of convience. Its easier to talk to fellow pokefans about my Golbat than my Wing-Man

I never was a nicknamer when I was little, but then when Emerald came out, I started to nickname them. I don't see anything wrong with doing either.

I don't give them nicknames, but refer to them with random nicknames I think up.

Not at all! Really, I only nickname mine so I can get the Japanese names down pat. If I didn't care, they would never be nicknamed.

Your not wrong......I just sometimes hate nicknaming my pokemon.....especially any of my pokemon from gen 1

I always nickname Pokemon I'd use in battling.. but never just things I catch/breed. I can't stand using things in all capitals, lol.

I didn't know it was an issue...

I nickname most of my Pokémon, but there are a few I don't bother to nickname though, like the by-products from breeding for the right nature and stats.

Nope, that's perfectly fine. ^^

I don't nickname my Pokemon either. In fact, I actually like the names that NOA gives to the Pokemon. =)

I never nickname. I did once, but otherwise, no. Its too... annoying.

Nicknaming takes way too long if you're trying to think up good ones. You can slap them on any Pokemon willy-nilly, but chances are they'll suck.

I always nickname my pokemon, usually after whatever song or piece of music I'm listening to at the time of their capture/hatching, or a book I recently read...anything, really. Nothing wrong with not doing it, though.

Nope I rarely nickname my Pokemon unless I want to. There's nothing wrong with not naming them though.
