this has got to be THE BEST Japanese Movie I have EVER seen (ok, granted, I haven't seen very many, but it's AMAZING). here's the Summary: Ame and Yuki: Wolf Children tells the story of 19-year-old orphan Hana who is studying in a university on scholarship. There, she meets and falls in love with a wolf man, the last of an ancient breed of creatures who can magically change from wolf to man. Eventually, she gave birth to a girl and a boy, Yuki and Ame. However, when the wolf man died suddenly, Hana found herself trying to raise the siblings in a rather unfriendly city. She decides to move a rural area to bring up Yuki and Ame so that they can each decide their own fate - to live as a wolf or a human.

if you haven't seen this movie, it's a MUST-SEE. the graphics are GORGEOUS, and the Japanese is just beautiful (I use sub-titles, but whatever). the ending is rather...bittersweet though.

The ending made me feel...lonely. Or rather it had a lonely feeling to it. But yeah, I love the movie too.

I saw the movie in Japanese with English subs and loved the movie to pieces. xD Another masterpiece by the talented Mamoru Hosoda. :)

I really loved this movie. One of my favorites. :)

I first saw this movie at my local Arts Picture House Cinema late in 2013 and absolutely loved it. I still curse FUNimation for not putting this picture forward for an Oscar nomination; it's easily one of the best animated movies I've ever seen.

Such a powerful and touching movie. I even managed to convince my anime-hating parents to watch it with me on Christmas Day 2013 and they all loved it. Hosoda has definitely improved with each subsequent movie - so I can't wait for his next one!
