I have yet to seen you show she used QAnon slogans in her political adverts

Mayra Flores is a Republican candidate running in Texas’ 34th Congressional District for the general election in November. On June 14, she won a special election in the district for the remaining tenure of former Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela, who resigned from his seat in March. Flores had won the primary for the November general election on March 1. She has repeatedly posted the QAnon hashtag and “#Q” on Twitter and on Facebook, including in a Facebook ad. On Instagram, she has also repeatedly posted the QAnon slogan. Despite her posts, Flores told the San Antonio Express-News regarding QAnon, “I’ve always been against any of that. I’ve never been supportive of it,” and she falsely told Fox News that she posted QAnon hashtags to show she was “actually against it.

You really haven’t followed Republican politics then, you have those like Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney that actively oppose Trump.
Wasn't Liz Cheney literally excommunicated by the GOP? For daring to oppose the treasonous MAGA chuds? Romney also fell out of GOP favor after he rightfully voted to impeach Trump. It's really telling that the two examples you post were unpersoned by the MAGA/QAnon cult that is slowly consuming the GOP.
It’s no different than the nasty stuff said about Ted Cruz and his wife back in 2016.
I don't think DeSantis wishes to face the same fate that befall Cruz.
Primary politics is a blood sport, and Trump plays very dirty.
And loses bigly. Like in 2020. Which you refuse to accept. :p

Ahh thank you so we went from her being some rabid qannon supporter to hashtag analytics

Yet you seemed to be oblivious of them

If Trump is the nominee in 2024 I do see him losing, barring another financial crisis meltdown like we saw in 2008. On the other hand if DeSantis is the nominee I do see him winning quite easily over a very elderly and senile Biden.

You're saying her finger slipped and accidentally typed Qanon slogans?
Yet you seemed to be oblivious of them
But I'm not? I literally told you about how badly they fared against the MAGA/Qanon nutjobs. But nice try at gaslighting.

Press X to doubt.

Russian has announced a massive retreat from Kherson, and rumors are swirling that they waited until this day to see the results of US midterm elections. Reminder that a lot of MAGA chud politicians were increasingly loudly protesting against sending further military aid to Ukraine.

European fellow here. At what point do us NATO states need to begin reconsidering our existing relations with the allied superpower that seems prepared to spill her own blood over political disputes? This intense American on American hatred is exactly what we don't need when our mutual Russian adversary has long stopped playing by international norms.

I am saying her communication team or whoever used Qanon, Trump, and other hashtags to reach the widest group of people possible with her hashtag list. I was honestly expecting just Qanon hashtags from the way you made it out to be, instead it looks more like a typical shotgun spray hashtag post to try and get noticed.

Romney is still in the senate and just to throw another name on the pile Governor Kemp just won reeection while Trump’s handpicked candidate for the senate is going for a runoff.

Also just in case you did not know Governor Kemp’s opponent is/was a radical election denier. I am sure we can both be happy that she lost.

Fear not. Blood will be spilled mostly only inside the Republican party, which plans to spend the next two years fighting each other over who is MAGA enough, allowing Biden, Democrats and a handful of moderate Republicans to pass all the financial and military support that Ukraine needs.

The fact that Russian vatniks are right now crying about how badly MAGA chuds underperformed in the midterms is all you need to know that the NATO alliance is safe for now.

Reaching Quanon cultists is now Republican strategy. Thank you for confirming it.

Aren't you the election denier? You've yet to admit that Trump lost to Biden in 2020.

I never said it was, merely her media team was doing a wide ranging blast of right wing Twitter hashtags

Deflection, and here I am trying to offer common ground

Wide ranging GOP blast to court Qanon nutjobs. You expect me to approve of that?

Hypocrisy. You're accusing others of stuff you yourself are guilty of doing. It's laughable to hear you talk about "common ground" when you're standing on shaky ground due to your own history of electoral denialism.

I don’t care what you approve of, I am only discussing the picture provided which shows a wide variety of right wing and far right wing hashtags, which to me suggests the media team is trying to reach a massive audiance. If you have something that is more narrowed down to Qanon then please post it.

I am looking to see if we can find a Republican victory we both can feel good about winning, and a Democrat we both can be happy about losing.

Engaging in adhominem attacks on this does make me wonder about your defense about party hats.

So, the Republican media team is trying to reach Qanon nutjobs, among others. That tells me all I need to know.

Cool, so you're still engaging in electoral denialism by refusing to accept that Trump lost to Biden in 2020. Trump commanded you to believe his Big Lie about the election, and you complied, because the alternative for you was to get rid of your MAGA hat. There is nothing to discuss between us anymore until you leave Trump's alternate reality and return back to the real world.

Trump lost to Biden in 2020. That's a fact, not an opinion. And you have no ground to accuse others of electoral denialism while you yourself hypocritically engage in it.

More news

Even more good news:

FOX News is already blaming those hysterical women:

Whitmer got 96% of the vote in Detroit. Wowzers.
What, to Michigan?

It's a swing state and that makes it unreliable.
But if more people like you move there, the less swingy it becomes. also, Michigan's voted Republican once in the last 8 Presidential elections.

Whitmer got 96% of the vote in Detroit. Wowzers.

But if more people like you move there, the less swingy it becomes. also, Michigan's voted Republican once in the last 8 Presidential elections.
And it’s looking like Michigan might become a safe Democratic state in the future.

So, here's all the victories Democrats made in what was supposed to be a landslide year for the Republicans:

1. Flipped the Pennsylvania Senate race
2. Held onto a number of swing districts to reduce the size of the possible GOP majority
3. Prevented a number of far right nutjobs like Doug Mastriano, Tudor Dixon, Tim Michaels, Lee Zeldin, and Paul LePage from being elected Governor
4. Flipped the Minnesota State Senate, making Minnesota a Democratic trifecta
5. Held onto the Oregon Governor's race and thus preventing Betsy Johnson from spoiling the race and handing it to the Republicans
6. Actually unseated a number of incumbents, most notably Steve Chabot (OH-1), who has represented the Cincinnati-based district for years, Mayra Flores (TX-34), who was widely considered a rising star within the GOP, and possibly even Lauren Boebert (CO-3) herself
7. Flipped both the Michigan State House and Senate, placing Michigan under a Democratic trifecta for the first time in nearly 40 years
8. Passed a number of abortion related amendments in states like Michigan, Vermont, and California, and defeated a referendum that would have totally banned abortion in Kentucky
9. Flipped the Pennsylvania State House, limiting the power of Republicans in this state

And more to soon come.

If Michigan voted for Dems during a frigging midterm election when GOP was the favorite to win, then it is perhaps time to forgive the state for 2016.

And yes, having your vote actually count due to living in a swing state is a very good feeling.
Whitmer got 96% of the vote in Detroit. Wowzers.

But if more people like you move there, the less swingy it becomes. also, Michigan's voted Republican once in the last 8 Presidential elections.

It's hard for me to forgive because Trump is just that much of a monster. Trump was both a horrible person and a horrible politician to elect. It's a miserable failure on both fronts to vote for him.

I can not forgive and forget. The 2016 election was devastating beyond belief. Even in the best case scenario, the effects of it will likely be felt the rest of my life in terms of the Supreme Court being stacked. That's just in the best case scenario. The reality will likely be significantly worse than that.

...But. Moving is hard when you live in a state like Oklahoma which falls toward the very bottom in terms of cost of living and wages. ("You get what you pay for" never took more meaning than this). Moving to my dream state of Massachusetts is a huge uphill battle that I'm not sure can even be done. =( I know (or at least I saw when I was first researching) that Michigan falls toward the cheaper end of the spectrum. That makes MI seem like a potential move if I can't make any of the true blue states work.

But - yes, another but - I'd like my family to move with me because I don't want to move far away from my aging parents. My mom has been pretty negative about MI because of the threats to the Democrat governor. I've tried to tell her that here in OK we are surrounded by nuts just like that (they just don't do much because our government is run by people that are as extreme as they are), but she will not listen. And perhaps there is a point there. If the US begins facing more and more political violence - which is not even unlikely - a state like Michigan where there are a ton of nuts who allowed for Trump to win in 2016 - could become a hotspot of violence. Democrats winning this election might even fuel that because the nuts are sure to be mad and already claiming that the Dems "stole" the election.

i'm doing this purely out of kindness, so as a reminder, do keep in mind to be respectful even if you disagree with another individual's posts here. yes, politics can be heated, and yes, in this climate in particular it is especially expected to have rather passionate discourse. this doesn't mean things have to escalate into aggressive territory. thank you.

we've also issued the same warnings here and here. i'm doing this against my better judgment because if thread bans do happen i don't want people to complain about unfairness, etc. it's all over this thread now, it is your responsibility to stick by the rules.
