As much as it's exciting news that Dems will hold the Senate it is almost guaranteed that they will lose it in 2024 considering what seats will be up that year.

People were saying that Dems are guaranteed to lose the Senate in 2022. Let's wait and see if the GOP in 2024 repeats their mistakes and nominates a bunch of unelectable nutjobs for a second time.As much as it's exciting news that Dems will hold the Senate it is almost guaranteed that they will lose it in 2024 considering what seats will be up that year.

The GOP seems to be in a state of meltdown right now. I don't see it improving any time soon for them.
My man, it's way too early to start worrying about 2024, so for now lets instead savor Dem's current victory against election deniers and MAGA chuds. The GOP will be in utter disarray for as long as Trump is sabotaging them in his narcissistic rage. You just need to look at the Senate map in 2024 to see that Dems are screwed. The states that the GOP will be defending are: Indiana, Missouri, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Mississippi, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Utah. All of these states are very GOP friendly. The Dems are defending a lot of red and swing seats, including West Virginia, Montana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona.

The actual numbers are still 44/42. No matter how much you play with error margins to make it appear more favorable to you. Your "Poling 101" already made you wrongfully believe that the GOP will pick up to 3 or 4 seats in the Senate.
Again, MAGA chuds are loyal only to Trump.
I linked an article in my previous comment listing his policy wins. I'll link it a second time just for you. Looking forward to you completely ignoring it a second time.

Man, you're really setting up yourself for future disappointment by sticking to Karl Rove's math. The polling was wrong but it is a fallacy to believe all polling is wrong just because it was wrong this cycle.
Right, we already determined that you mistakenly think student loan forgiveness is something everyone will forget about, despite the fact that student debts are a very real thing that are having a serious effect on the livelihood of many, many Americans, and thus not something they can just forget about. It seems to me that your main issue is that you look at Biden's policy wins only from your POV, trying to find what you get from them personally. You don't feel like you're personally getting anything from Biden's major tax, health care and climate change bills, so you pretend that Biden did absolutely nothing. Once again, you're setting up yourself for another nasty surprise when people will rush to vote for Biden and Dems. The only noticeable achievement I can see there is the woefully named “Inflation reduction act” which ended up doing little to fix the problem.
So what exactly are his wins? The inflation “non” reduction act and… a semiconductor bill? Is that it? Really?
Nobody cares outside of Fox News.We shall see, the facts remain the charity is in trouble.

This was a heartwarming thread.
lmao. I should get a penny everytime you say this.We shall see
Dude, it's only been temporarily halted. On the contrary I could have benefited quite well from the 10,000 student loan forgiveness. The thing is, it is never going to materialize so I never even had an opportunity to think of the savings. I knew from the start it was blatantly unconstitutional and it would be struck down by the courts and that is what happened.
We shall see.You know what also affects me and everyone else? Rising prices from inflation, something that Biden’s bill did not do anything about.
Once again, you're setting yourself up for a disappointment.I hope Warnock does not take that attitude when subpoenas from the Secretary of State begin to go out.
Two boogeymans and a Fox News link. Discarded.things like CRT and sexual books at schools.
It will never stop being hilarious when I see folks calling a centrist like Biden "far left". Just the utter abyss that is discourse on the political right.Joe Biden and House Democrats’ reckless spending and stupid Far Left agenda.

We shall see.Seventh circuit is unlikely to reinstate it, and the Supreme Court is going to rule it as unconstitutional. That is why the Biden Administration has already stopped taking submissions, all that is left is a half hearted fight with the seventh circuit
I'm saying you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you think this will stop him from winning the race.So you are saying the Secretary of State is not looking at issuing subpoenas?
Yawn, I don't care about Fox News shrieking about the CRT/"sex books" boogeyman. Get some new material. When in doubt attack the source.
As an Eastern European, I'm telling you that Biden is the farthest thing from a far left politician.Biden campaigned as a moderate, governed from the far left,

And such issues are greatly contributing to Virginia's massive rightward shift.Except they weren’t, the article was discussing how those issues were winners on election night for local school boards.
something I would like to point out is that many of those books that are being banned and contested are largely biased against a marginalized group of people, which wouldn't necessarily sit right with... the vast majority of those who have more open ideals. it would be appreciated if it wasn't whitewashed, kind of, as 'sexual books at schools', because well... i mean, that's kind of dodging the nuances of said books. especially because iirc, a lot of this is happening at a high school level, and if you've been in a high school ecosystem in the past 30+ (probably more) years, i think you'd know that sexual discussion would happen no matter what, and banning things isn't going to help necessarily. freedom of knowledge is a very valuable thing.Don’t forget that conservatives did pretty well on the local school board level this year running against things like CRT and sexual books at schools.
Parents, experts see 'red undercurrent' from midterms in school board races: 'Parents are fired up' | Fox News

I understand completely what you are saying, and I am only familiar with a few of the books, but atleast in my opinion and the opinion of many others books that involve pedophilia, sexual positions, and sexual activities, especially graphic drawings of them are not suitable for junior high school or really even high school when the age of first year students can be as young as 14.something I would like to point out is that many of those books that are being banned and contested are largely biased against a marginalized group of people, which wouldn't necessarily sit right with... the vast majority of those who have more open ideals. it would be appreciated if it wasn't whitewashed, kind of, as 'sexual books at schools', because well... i mean, that's kind of dodging the nuances of said books. especially because iirc, a lot of this is happening at a high school level, and if you've been in a high school ecosystem in the past 30+ (probably more) years, i think you'd know that sexual discussion would happen no matter what, and banning things isn't going to help necessarily. freedom of knowledge is a very valuable thing.
like... it's not like there's a book chronicling sex positions that's going viral and being handed to kindergartners or anything. that's incredibly ludicrous. but that sort of thing (which i am exaggerating) is the rhetoric being given, and it's absolutely being used to hurt people, especially young people in schools. the exact opposite of freedom. pretty lame, right?
i hope that this didn't come across as attacking or anything. i'm not likely to engage in anything here, but i just wanted to point that out. thank you.
We shall see.Depends on how far this story goes, we have a month to go, it may be nothing, it may dominate the month with talk about how Warkock was a slumlord.
Is that so? Then perhaps Schweikert and Lake should have screamed louder about CRT/"sex books".Except they weren’t, the article was discussing how those issues were winners on election night for local school boards.
That is nice, but "far left" has a precise meaning, and just because Fox News doesn't know what it means, doesn't mean that we should also misuse it.That is nice, we are talking about American politics so the Overton window should be moved to reflect such.

Nah, CRT and "sex books" are imaginary issues.Or there were different issues people voted for as opposed to when they voted for their school board.
Really? It has a precise meaning? What exactly is that precise meaning? Please provide it, so we know the exact precise meaning. Provide sources too please.
