I was thinking about the various formats we recieve pokemon games in. Outside of the RPG, the classic snap & stadium, I've never been interested.

So that got me thinking, what would work ...?
Have any of you played Dragonball Z Tenkaichi ? I think this would work for a pokemon game ! Purely battles, the same idea as stadium, maybe with a structured league system, training minigames maybe.

In conclusion, the idea is a 360 degree fighting/brawling game, the pokemon you control could have a generic scratch/tackle attack as well as button presses for the other 3 moves you have allocated.

Do you have any ideas to add to this ? Or do you have a completely new idea that would work ?

I seem to recall a screenshot of a Pokemon fighting game in the works with Blaziken and Lucario? I can't remember the name of the project at all, nor can I locate the screenshot, but I don't think it would be too far off from what you describe.

Pokemon MUGEN

Let's see more roguelike RPG's, like the Mystery Dungeon series. Make the storylines even better, like Explorers of Sky, and less campy friendship stuff like what they did with Gates to Infinity.

Although a real-time fighter game would be an interesting change of pace. Roguelike is still technically turn-based, and other than Super Smash Bros, they don't do much outside of turn-based with Pokemon. Not a huge fan of the fighter genre, but it'd still be pretty cool to watch if they didn't screw it up too badly.

I would like to have a Pokemon Action-RPG game that is similar to the system of Legend of Zelda, but story more like Pokepark or PMD series.

Speaking of Pokepark, I really enjoy the 3D-Action battle within the game. Especially for the tournament inside Beyond the World where components are truly difficult.
I would like one Pokemon A-RPG that adapts such Pokepark battle system. (But, excluding all the mini-games, please. I don't like mini-games for story purposes)
