Ok, we all know the music on Pokemon sucks in the English version. I have come up of an idea that would make the show even better. I was thinking of having songs played by Rise Against. Sure, their music is a little political, but I don't 8-years olds would able to interpret the messages of their songs. Not to mention they barely swear in their songs (i did caught one song that clearly used the f-word, but I think it can be replaced with a cleaner one like flick). Heck, why not include the members of Rise Against as recurring characters (and they might have taste on pokemon contests instead of battles, by the way, these guys are members of PETA).

That way, this could attract more teenagers on watching pokemon and the rating would go up.

God no. If any music changed to the dub, it should be the original JP music.

besides the fact that the USA has barley any say with who appears in the anime after Kenji . .

And if this really were to happen (all though it will never will [nor would I want it too]), PUSA would make sure that all political references/curse words were omitted COMPLETELY.

No, I want Rika Matsumoto and Junichi Masuda.

Ok, first of all, did you guys even check the link?

Second, I think that not many teenagers watch the anime, mostly they would play the game or so.

I know who Rise Against is and just because you have a popular band playing a theme song does not make the show popular. Rise Against isn't even very well known.

Yeah, I definitely want more of Masuda and Miyazaki's music.

popular along 8 year olds, but not teenagers. I myself, hate the censorship and editing of the english version of Pokemon as well as most anime. Heck, the guys who edit Pokemon can't reference death or killing because of the FCC. Even one episode was banned because someone pointed a pistol point-blank range on Ash (The Legend Of Dratini), and I don't mind if my 7-year old cousin sees that. Rise Against fits well into Pokemon and not ALL of their songs are political or curses (PUSA could just simply change the swear words and they might not bother on changing the messages of the song because 8-year olds might not able to understand the real message behind the Rise Against songs and heck the won't care).

But we all agree that the english version sucks and japanese version tends to be better.

If there's any band I want to be a part of Pokemon it's Grizzly Bear.

Usually I hate both versions of music. US-version because they try too friggin' hard and the original because it sounds too cheerful. And you know me, I'm a fun-hating gal. XD
