An open apology

Hi Regular Soap Boxers (and those just passing through),

So I let my emotions get the better of me when one of the regulars here was, in my opinion, flamebaiting another. It's inappropriate to call another user a dickhead, or insinuate it, and I was out of line. I should expect higher of myself, because I do expect higher of everybody else. I apologize to anyone I offended.

That said, I will not tolerate flamebaiting or open flaming between users. None of us are perfect, but my error does not give people license to needle others in order to simply insult, provoke, or hurt them. And it is my right and responsibility as a moderator to ensure that users aren't subject to this sort of thing.

From here on out, I'm holding myself to a higher standard, and I hope you all will join me.

I'll join you in that. I'm glad that at least one person has the ability to admit when they have acted... rashly, I suppose will do? I hope that the others involved will also act as you are.

I cannot say that I trust your ability to moderate fairly anymore based off of what happened last night, but will not and am not starting an arguement here (Note to those who may question it).

The apology for your off-based comment is good however, and I'm sure the person will apprieciate it.
