Chapter 1: Introduction To The World

On a grey, rainy and chilly day in the Upper East Side of Castle City, at the Jefferson Academy, a class of 16 year-old students were finally taking their Trainers License Evaluation courses. All of them future trainers, waiting to get through their summer classes so they could finally get their Trainer Licences and start their journeys, which would be filled with danger, adventure, fun, and of course Pokémon.

The class was just beginning, when suddenly the main entrance door swung open and loudly hit the wall.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, I got caught in traffic!" A young girl said, frantically and out of breath, as she tried to scurry to her usual desk.

"Well Ms. May since you're late, your usually spot has been taken so unfortunately..." The lecturer sighed, rubbing his right temple, "you're going to have to take a seat next to Mr. Jaydonson." said the middle aged professor in a more somber tone, due to the outburst that he knew was bound to ensue.

"Ummm... Excuse me Professor Lowe!" A boisterous male voice erupted, " I don’t think I heard you correctly because I thought you just said that - she - is going to sit here." He said arrogantly, pointing at the desk to his right.

"Yes Jesse, she will be sitting there." Mr. Lowe said in an exasperated voice, rolling his eyes.

"Do you NOT see that this desk is occupied by my feet!?" The young mans lip twitched at his own statement although his tone was resentful.

"Well Jesse, unless your feet are planning on getting their Trainer License also, stop your drama and move them so Ms. May can take a seat!" He said in a indifferent yet angry tone, hoping Jesse would get the message.

Jesse moved his feet with exaggerated slowness, allowing the young girl to take her seat. About half-way through the Professor's lecture on Pokémon Ethics, the young man sitting next to Jesse, who had already fallen asleep, spoke, "Hi, my name is Alexander Roanoke, but you can call me Ander, and that's my friend Jesse Jaydonson" Ander said, in a friendly tone while running his hand through his short pitch-black hair and adjusting his glasses.

"Hello, I’m Layla May... w...why does he hate me so much?" she asked, looking at the tall boy with with shoulder length curly dark brown hair.

"It's nothing personal he's actually a bit of a asshole but he's extra pissy today cause he couldn’t find Lillyel this morning." He said peering at her through his glasses with innocent ice-blue eyes, it took a moment for him to realize that she was giving him a bewildered expression "Ohh Lillyel is his Petilil... she been with him forever." he said matter-of-factly.

"Ohh, well I guess that’s kinda sweet that he misses his Pokémon, do you have any?" She asked sincerely curious and not just to be polite like she would normally do.

"Yeah, I have Truffles she’s a Jigglypuff." he admitted shyly

"WHAT!? OH MY GOSH! How do you have a Jigglypuff, they're so rare! They practically don't exist in Unova! I have to see her, please!" she squealed in high pitch voice clearly gushing about its cuteness like some kind of adoring fan, this kind of reaction and attention wasn't something Ander was used to and his face inturn flushed a brilliant red.

"Umm sure... do you... umm wanna hang out... with us after class is over?" He asked clearly out of his comfort zone, she simply gave him a big warm smile and nodded eagerly. For the next two and a half hours they just listened to the lecture. Ander took notes, Jesse continued his nap and Layla just listened to the professor while trying to analyze the two boys relationship due to the fact that Jesse looked like the kind of guy that would bully and make fun of the lean but lightly muscled Ander.

****

When the bell rang, everyone started to quickly walk out while talking about how excited they are about getting their Trainers License the following day, which route they're planning to leave at, the supplies they needed and their Pokémon. Layla watched everyone leave, while Ander collected his copious amount of things and tryed to wake Jesse up, she noticed a few of her peers had Pokémon with them which she hadn’t noticed before, she counted two Purloin, four Pidove, two Swaddle, a Pansear and a Oshawott. Then she suddenly felt eyes watching her, she turned around slowly and saw that Jesse looking at her... she had to admit he was pretty good looking with his tan skin, light brown eyes, and perfectly straight pearly-white teeth.

"So I’m guessing you're coming with us then?" Jesse said trying not to offend the girl again on behalf of his friend. Before she even had time to reply he continued "Well it's about a thirty minute drive if the traffic isn't too bad but I'll tell the driver to hurry... Come on dork we don’t have all day!" he said in a nonchalant tone, aiming the latter comment at Ander. After Jesse started walking, Ander was suddenly right behind him follow along like a baby Lillipup. Layla just followed still trying to comprehend that they had a driver, "They can't be serious." she thought to herself. But when they arrived outside she was greeted to the sight of a sleek black stretch hummer, with a man holding the side door open, they walked to the car as the elderly man greeted them as Master Jesse and Master Alexander, "Could they get anymore pretentious!?" Layla thought as she introduced her self to the Driver, whose name was Miles. When She entered she was even more flabbergasted, it looked like a miniature night club with subtle white lights on the floor and ceiling, a state-of-the-art-radio disguised as a old timey Jukebox, a bar and modern black and white sofas with a few blood-red pillows, to Layla it was extremely modern and trendy but a little over done for her tastes. "Good God, you guys must be rich." she blurted out, not meaning for her statement to be audible, both of the boys just laughed.

It was a quiet ride until Jessie went to go get them all drinks, when they suddenly heard,

"There you are my little baby! Don’t ever do that again!" he chastised in a baby voice, when he turned around Layla saw a little creature no more then about a foot high, it looked soft to the touch, had two little lime-green stubs for arms, right under them three little green stubs for legs, a head that was green and white with little red beads for eyes and three leaves sprouting from the top of the creatures head. It made high pitched screeches and cries obviously overjoyed to see her partner until she saw Layla, then her demeanor completely change. She suddenly clung to his shirt in a defensive position it made Layla think of an animal protecting its territory. Suddenly the plant-like Pokémon started vibrating the leaves on her head back and forth. Its little beady eyes started to glow red, Layla started to feel a strange sensation. At first it just felt like a tickle in the back of her throat but then it started to spread and become more intense and then suddenly she could barely move. She could feel the energy, the life leaving her body, being ripped out of her! Stolen! It didn't just hurt it was pure blood curdling pain, it felt like she was being set on fire! All she wanted to do was scream out in shear agony but her mouth was too dry, all the liquid in her body was being siphoned out and she could barely manage a whispered plea. She could feel her muscles weaken and her skin wither, then she saw it... faded translucent green light escaping her body and going to the little beast's mouth, she looked at Jesse's face which had a wicked grin and dark glint in his eyes.

"H... hel... help!" even with all her strength and will that was all she could muster up, suddenly Ander saw what was going on.

"What the hell Jesse! What's your problem!? Lillyel stop!" Ander yelled with a furiosity which surprised Jesse and Lillyel, it even surprised himself. Immediately the remaining light retreated back to Layla's body.

"What was that?" she said gasping for air and on the verge of tears.

"I'm so sorry! Lillyel must have saw you as a threat to Jesse or something... so she started to drain your energy with Mega Drain, I’m so sorry you need a drink!" Ander said in a incredulous voice still not believing what just occurred, he quickly ran over and got a bottle of fresh Twist-Turn Mountain water, "Here Layla drink this." he said uncharacteristically worried

"I’m so sorry Layla, I can't believe Lillyel would do something that horrible!" Jesse said in a concerned tone which surprised Layla but if she didn't know any better she wouldn't have been able to tell he was lying."My ass you're sorry!" She thought.

"Its okay, it was just an accident." She unwillingly said, not wanting to lose the only possible friends she made the whole summer but she could swear she just saw Jesse winking at his Pokémon.

Miles then rolled down the window and announced that they have arrived, "Where that heck would that be!?" She thought since she couldn't seen anything through the black tinted windows, her mind was running wild with possibilities. When they got out she tried to walk on the far side of the shoulder that the demon Petilil was sitting on, Ander was still helping her walk when she noticed that they just walked in the grand lobby of the De Los Sueños Building.

"What are we doing here?!" Layla asked completely confused

"Oh, You know we're just going around door to door asking if they want to buy our girl-scout cookies." Jesse said in a flat sarcastic voice, "What do you think? We live here." He said

"Ohhh" Was all Layla could manage. When they got to the elevator that was for residents only, the elevator operator greeted them and automatically hit the hundredth floor button.

"Oh boys who is this pretty little lady?" The elevator operator said with a heavy southern accent,

"Oh this... she just a stray that’s been stalk-" he began to say but Layla pushed him out of the way cutting him off in mid sentence.

"Hi, I’m Layla their friend!" she said putting an emphasis on the word friend, she getting kind of irritated by his stupid comments.

The rest of the ride was uneventful. When they got out of the elevator all there was, was a huge lobby that was elegantly decorated and had two glossy black doors on opposing side. Layla still didn't really believe that they lived here, her mind began to wonder at how they could possible afford such luxurious extravagances when her train thought was interrupted.

"Hey Ands go get Truffles we'll wait at my place." Jesse said in a causal tone, "Yeah cause having a driver, living at the most expensive building in the city, living on the hundredth floor in the pent house and having extremely exotic Pokémon is just completely normal... PSH everyday kinda stuff" Layla thought sarcastically.

Ander ran to the door on the far left and as soon as he opened his door a round beautiful little creature jumped into his arms to Layla's surprise its body was a light lavender instead of the usual pink and its eyes were a piercing lime-green, "I’m not even going to ask..." She thought because it seemed like everything was possible when she was with these two boys. When she went into Jesse's house she tried to hide her astonishment but it was hard to due to its castle like appearance. A thin tanned woman materialized accompanied by a huge fox with nine glorious golden tails trailing behind. This woman was undeniably beautiful, "Holy crap what's Charmaine Jaydonso- never mind..." she started saying when she put two and two together, after a quick introduction and a minute or two of admiring the gorgeous Ninetales (apparently named Princess) they were off to Jesse's room.

They had to walk through about six other rooms and corridors to get to his room, she would have marveled at each room individually but after she saw a water fountain with a stunning 16-foot long Milotic nonchalantly laying in it her brain kind of shut off and she barely noticed the rest of the novelties they passed.

"Your room. Is bigger. Then my house." she noted, both boys just laughed brushing it off as a joke, she went to sit on the huge triple king-sized bed when she noticed how soft it was she examined the duvet covering only to notice a sleek, glossy, golden down of fur, it remind of the the fur of the Ninetales she'd met moments ago. She was about to ask what it was when Jesse proudly said "Ninetales fur." obviously elated by the fact that he could afford such things.

"Layla, you never did tell us if you had any Pokémon?" As soon as Ander said that she grabbed two red and white metallic spheres out of here pocket and threw them on the ground. With a big flash of a whitish energy, two Pokémon materialized on the floor from the bright light one standing on two legs and the other on all fours.

"This is Aqua." She pointed to a tan and blue monkey with two tuffs one on its tail and the other on its head, it also had a sleepy and dazed expression on it's smooth face, "And this is Boarus" she pointed at a orange pig with a brown head that squealed and hopped around her feet.

All the Pokémon started to play together with the exception of Lillyel that was trying to ignore Boarus. The soon to be trainers talked about everything, Layla found out that Jesse's father helped with the creation of the modern Pokéball 45 years back and his mom was the uber famous socialite Charmaine Jaydonson. She also found out that Ander's dad was Professor Roanoke, the man that gave her Boarus six months ago, when she and her family first arrived in Unova after her father catered for one of his parties. She also revealed that her mother was the newly appointed nurse at Castle City's very own Pokémon Center and her Father is the Chef at the trendy "Black and White" restaurant, before they realized it was 12:46 PM,

"Shit! It's past midnight!" Layla screamed as she looked for her phone. "What am I going to tell me dad?!" she looked at the two boys frantically, getting no sympathies from Jesse she focused her line of vision on Ander who immediately blushed when she made eye contact with him.

"Just tell him you're staying the night at our place. We do have 13 guest bedrooms between the two of us." Ander offered trying to hide is excitement from both Jesse and Layla, Jesse was shocked!

"No." he said in a voice that rand with authority, Layla's heart dropped and Ander's brow furrowed.

"Jesse! Come on! If you don't let her... I'll... I'll go home!" Ander pleaded, Layla simply sat hoping for the best.

"Seriously, you're going to give me an ultimatum? Okay, see ya' bitch." Jesse said looking pleased with himself.

Ander was getting frustrated, he really liked Layla so he did something he would never have dared,

"I'm not going home and neither is Layla. Need I bring up the Tanya incident? You still owe me for the one." Ander said in his most rebellious voice but still extremely hesitant. Jesse's face dropped instantly and his eyes filled with fury.

"Fine." was all he said.

Layla quickly called her father and sorted everything out, "Thank you so much!" She ran up and hugged Jesse, Jesse was again shocked but this time at the physical contact which he was not the biggest fan of and Ander shocked because he was the one that put his ass on the line and stood up to his bestfriend.

"When in the HELL did Ander start making decisions and friends without my permission!?" Jesse's thought resonated with resentment, they were going to start their journey, this was not the time for Ander to grow a pair. Then Layla started talking, interrupting his train of thought

"So I've come to decision... I’m going to travel with you guys tomorrow!" she said very happy! Ander looked ecstatic and Jesse looked like he was about to rip someone apart!

"NO, NO, NO! We never agreed to that Layla!" Jesse Yelled! "Who the fuck does this crazy stalker bitch think she is!?" He thought, anger surged through him like a lightning bolt. He didn't even like this girl let alone did he want to travel with her.

"PLEASE! I'll be good! I'll help out and everything!" she begged on her knees Boarus the Tepig ran to her side and mimed the motion best he could.

"NO." He said in a voice the rang with finality.

"Jess..." Ander's voice was a mere whisper, he looked at his best friend with longing and urging eyes. Even though Jesse didn't like this girl one bit he didn't like seeing his friend hurting... He was one of the only people, besides himself, that Jesse truly cared for and in Jesse's mind pining like a regular person was below them so he would put Ander out of his misery fast. Even with their long intertwined history and the fact that Ander was annoyingly persistent when he wanted to be, Jesse was not giving in. He didn't like being told what to do or giving up.

"Still no." said the large beefy teenager arrogantly. He saw Ander's face drop and he felt victorious but then Ander spoke.

"J please. I save your ass time and time again, I always have your back and never ask for anything. Well now I'm asking." whispered Ander.

"Fine... but now I owe you nothing." That was the last thing he said for the remainder of the night. He climbed into his bed and immediately laying down before he knew it his Petilil was under his arm. He'd figure out a plan to get rid of her somehow later on, he thought.

The other two talked excitedly the whole night jumping from one subject to another and then coming back to a previous subject, this was out of character for Ander as he normally kept to himself with the exception of Jessie. At around 4:51 AM in the morning Jesse had just about enough of their incessant conversions and their Pokémon playing, so he ordered Petilil to use her Sleep Powder on them. Immediately after inhaling the silver dust like substance Ander and Layla's eyes began to droop and suddenly with a thud both of them hit the floor, fast asleep.

The next morning their Journey would begin.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Re: A New Journey...

Really good start. I liked the introduction with Layla arriving to class late; it's a good subtle way to make her stand out at the beginning and introduce her as the main character.

Some grammar issues and some mis-spelled words, but no biggie. Just make sure to proof-read or have a friend beta read your chapters and you will be fine!

Great work :)

Re: A New Journey...

"Do u NOT see that this desk is occupied by my feet!?" he said getting aggravated.

I stopped right there. It looks like you've got a fairly good idea of what you want the story to be, and it is actually decently well written. That said, the grammar is terrible. Txt speak is a major no-no here. I'm no Grammar Nazi, but please, please, please type it in to MS Word or something of the sort to spell check first. Your punctuation is passable, but work on spelling and capitalization. If you ask nicely, I or another author on here could go through and edit it for you if you'd like. Let me know if/when you make the changes, and I'll come back.

Re: A New Journey...

I agree with AetherX, the grammar is pretty bad. I did enjoy the story, but I'd like it much more with proper comma placement and non-abreviated words.

Re: A New Journey...

@Legacy Oh my gosh that means ALOT coming from you specailly sinse your SUCh and AMAZING Author!!!!!!! it means alot :)

and
@AetherX, Oh damn im So so very sorry, when i looked over it i couldnt believe how many times i put the letter U in there instead of the word.... and yeah sorry about the spelling, but im pretty sure i fixed it all, and I even put all the accents of the e's in Pokemon :) ahahha but no thank you SO much it is a good think to have someone show your mistakes so you can fix them :) thanks alot...

Re: A New Journey...

And
@Super Dragoon Yea sorry about all that but I'm about 90% i fixed a good amount of the mistakes if you find anymore just let me know :)

Re: A New Journey...

There we go! It was actually very well written and has a decent story. The characters are varied, which is nice. I like how you gave big, bad Jesse the cute little Petilil.

Re: A New Journey...

So after leaving this Fic for quite some time due to school and just trying to put myself together, I’ve decided I’m going to continue with it after realizing how much I liked these characters. I’m really excited. I’ve also re-edited the first chapter after re-reading it today and realizing how many grammar and spelling errors there still were. I hope everyone enjoys this chapter!

And here it is:

Chapter 2: A Charmed Life

“Wake up idiots!” Jesse said lightly kicking the two lumps of flesh, one harder then the other, on his bedroom floor. It was already 10:00 AM and hours after the set departure time and Jesse knew it’d take at least another hour before the other two trainers to be would be ready.

“Where am I? What happened?!” Layla moaned in a groggy morning voice which had clearly not gotten enough sleep, her hair was standing in all directions resembling Medusa’s heap of snakes. “She’s clearly not a morning person!” Jesse remarked to himself, letting out an audible laugh.

“You’re at my house. You and the boy-blunder over there wouldn’t shut up last night so I had Lillyel use Sleep Powder on you.” he retorted like it was a socially acceptable thing to forcible put people to sleep. He gave the girl a once over, kicked Anders much harder on the side and walked out of the room. As soon as he was out of sight the two finally started to come too.

When they heard a loud impatient voice screaming “Your breakfast is ready! Hurry the hell up, I’m hungry!” The twosome quickly looked at each other and all but sprinted to the kitchen.

When the remaining two arrived, they were greeted with a feast fit for kings. The 12 seat table was over flowing with food. Bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, pancakes, fresh fruit and berries, and with each plate a chilled glass of freshly imported Miltank milk. Layla was practically foaming at the mouth, Anders had dragged himself to the seat next to Jesse and started going to town on his already full plate. Not wanting to seem like the pig she really was, Layla slowly took her seat and started plating.

They all had their Pokémon out. Lillyel on Jesse’s shoulder nibbling on berries he’d given her. Truffles on her own chair picking at a boiled eggs. All the while Aqua and Boarus were on the ground eating eggs, sausage, toast and fruits. Jesse had uncharacteristically plated for them before their partners had woken them up, purposely putting Layla's Pokémon's plates on the ground.

“Oh. My. Gosh. That was amazing! I think I just died and went to Heaven!” Cooed Layla from her seat now looking full and happy. She guessed that her having a plate was probably only due to the fact that Jesse's parents had instructed the chef that there was a guest. Jesse lead them all to the chef so they could thank him for the scrumptious meal he had prepared. When they walked to the room to get ready Layla noticed the staff was now situated at the table eating what the three hadn’t already ate.

Ander excused himself so he could go to his home and get ready for the journey that was ahead. Layla just sat on Jesse’s floor examining everything.

“Why the hell aren’t you getting ready?!” Jesse asked irritated and confused.

“I don’t have anything with me…” She admitted blushing out of embarrassment.

Jesse said nothing he merely grabbed her by the arm and took her to one of the many bathrooms.

“You smell like a Trubbish in heat, take a shower I’ll send my mothers maid with clothes when you're finished, Oh and we're throwing those gaudy excuses for clothes away. If I'm forced to travel with you then you’re not wear something you bought at a swap meet.” Jesse stated in a flat matter of fact tone.

Layla then slammed the door and peered into the mirror, which took up a majority of the wall. She did in fact look like she was just attacked by a herd of Bouffalant. “My clothes are not gaudy! This is my favourite freaking shirt!” She thought angrily and ashamed at the same time. She slipped out of her clothes, gave her naked body a once over . She bite her lip as she tried to run her fingers through her sandy colored hair, unable to finish the task due to all the knots, she poked the little beauty mark she had a few centimeters above the left corner of her lip, giggled, rolled her dark-green eyes and hopped into the room-sized shower. "At least I look pretty good naked" she thought to herself, proud of her hour-glass figure.

Right around the time she finished, there was a soft knock on the door which was followed by a tan maid barging in, “What the hell!?” She thought but before she could utter a word, the maid, who looked very old fashion was dressed in the classic black and white maid uniform, swiftly ripped off her towel and threw her clothes in the hamper and started dressing her in what looked like designer clothes.

“I think I just came…” Layla whispered to herself as she stared at her reflection. She had been dressed in skin tight dark blue Armani jeans, a fitted white Channel top with sleeves to her elbows and was low cut enough so you had see her cleavage. She wore off white high-heels made by some Kantoian designer that she couldn't pronounce, she was also given an assortment of silver and platinum to accessorize with and her hair was made into long sandy brown waves that made her olive skin stand out and dark green eyes pop with a dark brown eye-liner. “Damn, I look good” she admired herself.

When she walked into Jesse’s room both boy stared. “Well, you look at least half way presentable now. Man do I have good taste or what!?” He praised himself with a big white flawless smile while wearing a new set of clothes. He'd changed into a black long-sleeve hooded shirt with a low V-neck that reached the bottom of his chest showing his pecs and torn, faded blue-jeans with what looked like combat boots. Ander who was sporting brown jeans, white shoes and a hot pink v-neck hadn't reacted yet he just stared. Layla was flattered by this kind of attention.

“And we’re off!” Layla said radiantly now that she’d found new friends and was clad in beautiful clothing. She was given a new bag that was stocked full of the latest clothes and Pokémon must haves, apparently Charmaine liked her so much she went out and got her a few things… At least that’s what Jesse told her.

It was 2:36 PM when they finally arrived at the trainer registration offices. They were the only ones there since most of the trainers had gotten an early start. They all looked like Supermodels in their ID photos. After they finished Ander had the driver make a quick stop by the May house so Layla could say her farewells. Layla had to instruct the Miles where to go since he'd never been in this part of Castle City, with it's maze of suburbs lined with various sizes of homes.

Miles stopped at a modest little house that was a cream color and around it was a bigger garden with an assortment of herbs and vegetable plants, and flowers growing in it.

"I thought she was joking when she said my room was as big as her house." Jesse whispered to Ander in a disgusted voice. "Don't be a dick, Jess." He chastised his friend. Layla was in and out the house fairly quick, when she got back into the car she told a story about how her father kept telling her how he looked like a supermodel, Ander attentively listened to every word while Jesse zoned out after he realized they were talking about her.

Miles drove from the May house and dropped them off on the out skirts of Castle City right by the Azure-Trail Pokémon Center, which was a moderate sized house like structure that was made of painted white bricks and the top third was an Large tiled-roof painted bright red and a Pokéball symbol craved and painted in the middle of the roof.

“Finally!” they all said and Layla jumped out of the car in excitement, Ander mimed her enthusiasm and Jesse strode out of the car with no hast.

As they walked they were surrounded by a variety of trees, from Cider to Pine so big green and proud other smaller and withered from the lack of sun, creeper entangled everything some of the vines had little flowers attached which varied greatly in shape and color some red, some yellow, some pick, other white and orange and then every color in between. On occasion they'd pass a shrub or bush some had berries others just leaves and thorns. The ground the were walking on was mainly dirt trail cover in decaying leaves, tree bark, and other things that had falling from the great trees. At that point they decided to cut through the forest and leave the trail and they found a little river that flowed ice-cold water. After that there was really nothing new just more trees that got more dense so that the light only fell doing in beams in certain areas and 3 hours of repetitive greens and and browns with no more color since the creepers were mostly dead with the lack of light, they finally found a another trail. Grass grew in abundance on this trail because the trees around here had been thinned so the sunlight shown bright. At the edges of this road was a smorgasbord of weeds, flowering plants and other smaller ground plants that needed constant sun light. Another hour had passed and the trail had lead them no where but further into the forest.

“Holy hell, where are we!?” Jesse blustered out. All of them were exhausted they’d been waking for over four hours and saw nothing but forest not even a single wild Pokémon.

“Umm I’m not sure anymore.” Layla admitted. "Thought so, I knew she'd get us lost! Not even a fuckin' day into our journey and were already running around like retarded Palpitoads" Jesse thought snidely.

All of the sudden a young boy around their age ran past them crying all three of them stopped and watched the boy run off back they way they had just came. Then they noticed what sounds like scream and chanting like a crowd of fans watching a Pokémon battle ahead of them. They walked about seemed to be half a mile and found what looled like a large circular clearing with a crowd of trainers encircled around battles. Jesse was eager to battle since head seen no action the entire day, so he ran ahead while Layla had to take off her high heels before she could catch up.

After the three pushed their way to the front of the crowd they saw a few goon-like trainers dressed in black taking the Pokémon of a young girl.

"Thanks for the Audino little girl” Mocked a raspy male voice.

"You can't do this to me! She's mine!" the girl screamed and whined and struggles as the man forcibly took her Audino's Pokéball.

He was obviously the leader of the 6-gooned gang. “Which one of you little brats are next!?” Cryed a whiny high-pitched female voice “We want more Pokémon!”

Ander quickly and quietly explained to his two friends how he’d heard about gangs battling and that they'd normally take newbies rarest Pokémon specially if they lost the battle. Often in areas where a class of Trainers had just passed their evaluation, it was easier to snatch unsuspecting new Trainers Pokémon. They were appalled by the idea it. As they stared walking away one of the bulky male goons grabbed Layla and hollered “Hey there sexy thing!” proceeding to slap her “ass” as he called it. Jesse was already in the mood for a fight and how dare this man disrespect him like this, not that he cared for Layla but the man didn't know that, so out of pure principal he decked the overly zealous, stupid-looking man in the face. Layla and Ander had to hold him back so the brawl wouldn't escalate!

“Yous three pricks are gonna regret dat! Three on three! Winner gets da others bestest Pokémon!” He yelled and gathered his other two partners. A thin pasty, gray skinned women with a sharp angular nose and brutish looking bald headed leader. All three clad in leather of some sort. Right when they were about to walk away the remaining members of the gang blocked the way. They were being forced to battle! Jesse was all to eager.

“Call’ Em out!” yelled the leader aggravated. Lillyel leaped off of Jesse’s shoulder, Anders reluctantly called out Truffles and Layla sent Aqua forth since both of her Pokémon were out the their Balls. The leader sent out a angry looking Gurrdurr, named “Killer”, with its signature metal beam sharpened at the ends. The injured beastly man sent out a overly large Woobat named “Darc”, that didn’t look capable of flight. The third was a haggled looking female with matted hair that had leaves and sticks in it who called out a Hefty Darmanatian, named “Smash”, that had an extraordinary amount of scars.

“Start!” Yelled one of the gang member the behind the happenings.

The Woobat was ordered to use Razor Wind on Lillyel, the fat bat flapped it's somewhat glowing wings at a ferocious rate stirring up a sharp wind that left cuts and gashes where it landed. Lillyel quickly dodged the on coming wind currents with ease leaving grass torn up where it hit, Darmanatian came swinging with no commands at Aqua and the Gurrdurr started coming after Truffles, its sharpened metal beam coming in too close to Truffles every time.

"Lill' Sleep Powder! Then Poison Powder!” Yelled a boisterous Jesse, the plant like creature sent forth a cloud of sparkling purple and white powder in the direction of the fat bat hitting it's target due it it's slow movements, the Darmanatian also accidentally inhaled some of the poisonous cloud. The Gurrdurr spun its rod like a propeller to ward off the powder. Woobat layed sprawled across the ground sleeping and Darmantian was coughing from the poison. Truffles and Lillyel took their chance and attacked the two Pokémon while they were down.

“Lillyel Mega Drain!” “Truffles Hyper voice!” Anders and Jesse commanded simultaneously. Lillyel's eyes started to glow a brilliant red as it opened it's mouth and started to inhale, the life energies could be seen coming from Woobat and going into the plant creatures mouth, while Truffles let out a ear-piercing scream where the sounds wave were clearly visible directed at Darc the Woobat. After the barrage of attacks Darc was unconscious and bleeding from the ears.

All the while Aqua was keeping Killer the Gurrdurr busy. After the hundredth miss Gurrgurr finally connected with the acrobatic Panpour and sent Aqua flying! The blue and tan monkey flew across the field and tree stopping the monkey, Aqua was struggling to get back up after the vicious blow. Quickly and with out hesitation Jesse commanded Lillyel to heal Aqua, no matter how much he disliked Layla and her Pokémon he refused to lose because she was an insufficient Trainer. She ran so fast that it looked like she was gliding over the grass. She plucked one of the leaves off her head and all but shoved it down the Water Element monkeys throat. The color and strength could be seem coming back to Aqua immediately.

Now revitalized the monkey went after Gurrdurr in a rage it shot pressurized spouts of water out of its tail, cutting Gurrdurrs flesh. It then shot out steaming water from the tuft on its head straight in Gurrdurr’s face, burning it, bleeding and blinded the orange ape was enraged. Truffles quickly joined shooting through the field with great speeds narrowing it's elastic body to be more aerodynamic she shot forward like a bullet and land a powerful double-edge right into the Gurrdurrs stomach, knocking it out.

Then with a loud holler the Hag like goon screamed,

"Smash use Superpower! and Shake that disgusting Petilil off!" Smash reached around and grabbed Petilil with it large meaty hands and threw her to the ground and then with out another though ran right to Aqua and thrust it’s over sized fists right into her stomach launching her across the clearing and start into a tree again, this time Aqua hit her head and was knocked unconscious instantaneously .

“NOOOOOO!” Layla let out and agonizing scream and ran to her Pokémon. The Boys quickly took out the already weak from poison Darmanatain with a Leach Seed, Hyper Voice combo the two Pokémon were perfectly in synch with one another. Even after being beaten the Leach Seed was still depleting the apes energies it was on the verge of death, the hag seeing this called over a pair of men to help her rip the life sapping vines and the seedling they sprouted from off. The goon guarding the stolen Pokémon was off helping his mistress.

Jesse seeing this as an opportunity and not thinking about Layla, went straight over to the goons stash grabbed an Egg, that must have been stolen from a far off traveler judging by it's markings, and started pocketing Pokéballs while he had a chance. As he was reaching for the third Ball one of the goons saw this ran, over and hit Jesse in the head with a branch he'd broken off the tree and Jesse hit the ground hard. The goon was about to take back the stolen goods Jesse took, when sirens could be heard making their way through the forested path. The goons all quickly returned their Pokémon and quickly retrieved everything they had stolen, a few trainers had even dug their Pokémon out of the what looked like a large burlap bag twenty feet away from the bag Jesse was just at, until the goons came and everyone dispersed. Everyone was running in all different directions, the goons where grabbing their "winnings" and what could be traced back to them.

In the chaos the gang had forgotten to take back what Jesse took and all the while Ander had been giving medical aid to Aqua and Layla had been sobbing by her side. All the goons had left. The spectators and victims had also left due to being sacred of the running goons and what they might do. It was only Jesse, Ander, Layla and the Pokémon in the clearing now with a trainer or two lingering by the path or at the edge, these where some of the Trainers whose Pokémon were stolen and not retrieved, they were either to shocked or sad to run.

Then while the were all huddled around Aqua, a shadowy figured immerged from the forest and yelled in a familiar high-pitched voice,

“I’ve come to collect!” and then in moments notice a large disheveled Tranquil had swooped down and grabbed Boarus in it’s talons and flew over to the hag, who grabbed onto the avians legs and let it carry her away. The hag cackled as her unusually large Tranquil flew off. Boarus' squeals could be heard even when they were out of sight.

The boys where stunned and Layla let out a blood curdling shriek through her immense sobs…

Re: A New Journey...

Whoa, they've taken her Boarus? Interesting story development. :O

But must of all, I need to comment on your grammar and spelling mistakes. You're writing is okay but it could be so much better if you payed attention to simple things such as correct spelling and grammar. Some of those mistakes might turn away the readers so I suggest that you proofread your story, edit the mistakes or find a beta who will find the mistakes and edit them for you.

One thing I have also noticed is that you tend to cram a lot of stuff in one single sentence. For example:

Anders explained how he’d heard about gangs battling and the winner gets the losers rarest Pokémon often in beginner areas where it was easier to snatch unsuspecting new Trainers Pokémon, they were appalled by the idea and as they stared walking away one of the bulky male goons grabbed Layla and hollered “Hey there sexy thing!” proceeding to slap her “ass” as he called it.
This is one unusually long sentence, for example, it could have been separated in two or three sentences.

Also, you could separate the paragraphs so the readers don't have to go through the wall of text, that can be really unpleasant.

Basically, check your grammar and spelling, that's the most important issue. :D

Anyway, I'll be reading. Please put me on your tag list. ^^

Re: A New Journey...

@Tsutarja
Yes. The evil witch!

And yea. I can see what your saying and I'll definitely need to work on that.
I'll be needing to get a proof reader. You wouldn't be interested would you ;D

But I'm a little embarrassed I'm definitely going to re-read it all right now and try to fix it all.

And Of course! I'd love to put you on there! I'm flattered :3

Alrighty, this isn't a run-of-the-mill journey fic, huh?

I think that the introduction was overall good, but there were a number of things that didn't make sense. For instance, if Jesse really hated Layla's guts (even going as far as hurting her) then why did he allow her to come over and then sleep over like an old friend? It doesn't really matter if Ander liked Layla, he could just say 'no'. This further confused me when he stood up for Layla when that punk 'smack'd that ass'.

The writing isn't bad, but can be a little muddled up and confusing at times. Layla as one of the main characters, hasn't been given a proper description yet, either. Which brings me to the point of describing the surroundings, you need to pay attention to that.

But the thing that really confused me was the overuse of curse words. Just because the story is labeled "Mature" doesn't mean that the characters have to say a curse word every other sentence. A story can be very mature and still not need the curse words. A curse word can strengthen an expression and give it additional meaning, but overuse makes it stale and unrealistic. Think about it, even badasses don't curse that much.

It's a good start for an interesting story, but you just need some practise and polishing.

@Jinoga

Well I'm going to take that first sentence as you saying my fic is original? :)

Ok Yea, I definitely see where your confusion is coming from. But see I wanted Jesse to have like a bunch of different layers to him, so maybe he's a little bipolar? That could work.
And for the punching the guy in the face thing he wasn't so much standing up for her, He was just looking for a fight.

Any tips to make it a little less un-confusing? Description of Layla coming up! and I'll definitely try and focus on describing the surrounding areas more.

Oh, Ok. That is probably just me. I curse a lot, so I guess it rubbed off on the story. I'll definitely be toning it down a little more.

Yea, I agree about the practice and polishing part.
Thanks a bunch for taking the time to read and comment.

Heh, yes you can say that.

Jesse isn't a bad character, but you just need to pay attention to his 'pattern', the way he acts and all. As for the reason he punched the guy, why didn't you mention that in the story? That would help explain some his actions.

Now if you want to make a character's actions a little less confusing, try doing this. Like real people. Everyone has a 'pattern' which manifests itself in different ways. Their behaviour, actions, way of speaking... etc. Think of that pattern. What would they do if this situation happened to him? What would the character say, do or act? Once you get that pattern, you get yourself a basic personality. Thats my way of thinking about it.

As for the writing style. Just practise, practise and practise. Write.

You have alot of potential and like any writer, you simply need to polish it.

Well aside form what Jinoga said I also have to say that your story needs a lot more description to it mostly the surroundings. Also I understand that it's only the second chapter but the story seems to be a little stale...I mean everything moves sort of quickly and there's not that much excitement into it so I suggest trying to work on making your story more interesting.

Ugh, So this story has really not been happening shit just keeps popping up and I keep not being able to continue with it but now I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do it proper. I really like the story of I have planned out and I've also been thinking a lot about it and brainstorming a bunch of different idea's so I'm gonna start it up again. I should be post chapters much more often so yeah, hopefully people will actually read.

Any who:

Chapter 3: The Blame Game

"Seriously Ander, we've been searching the forests non-stop for the past week and a half! I know her Pokémon was stolen, that sucks and all but those people have obviously been gone for a while now and it's just a waste of time. We're suppose to be on a journey and now we're chasing leads that don't exist looking for something that's long gone. I'm done humouring her, you need to talk to her." Jesse said in a voice that no longer held sympathies, he'd been exhausted from near non-stop searching for Layla's Tepig, Boarus, and the sleep deprivation. They were all exhausted. Jesse couldn't sleep because of Layla's almost non-stop crying and when she finally did fall asleep she'd whimper the entire night. Ander stayed with her the whole night, every night trying to comfort her, but it barely did anything.

Jesse walked away from Ander, with his egg, that he had taken from the gang of thugs, in hand and Lillyel trailing sluggishly behind him. Jesse made his way to his moderate sized, camouflage colored tent that was only big enough for himself. He undid the zipper slowly and crawled on top of his sleeping bag, placing the egg in an impromptu nest he'd made out of a black wool blanket. Before he lay down on his sleeping bag he gave Ander a look that said "Talk to her or else." Jesse then plumped down on his sleeping bag and almost immediately fell asleep, Lillyel lingered back by the tents entrance staring at Ander, who was still looking at his best friends tent not knowing how to react. Lillyel pulled a face and then stuck her tongue out at Ander knowing it would only upset him even further and then retreated into the tent, nestling her way between Jesse's chest and bicep, allowing herself to be hummed to sleep by the low rumble of her master's snore.

---

"Shit, I don't know what I'm suppose to do..." Ander whispered to himself, looking away from Jesse's tent. He was really getting tired of Lillyel and her attitude, "Like master, like Pokémon" he thought sarcastically. Ander just wanted to help Layla but he knew that this search wasn't good for any of them. Jesse had been uncharacteristically understanding the first week helping out where he saw fit and Ander was really grateful for that. But these past couple of days he could tell Jesse was getting more and more irritable and could see Jesse was running out of patience and sympathy. Ander knew all to well how Jesse could be when he was angry and he didn't want that partly because he didn't like his best friend to be mad and partly because he was scared of Jesse when he was angry. He would go talk to Layla for everyone's sake.

Ander slowly manoeuvred his way toward the river; it was about a quarter mile away from their campsite. He rolled his new Pokéball that Jesse gave him, the one Jesse took from the thugs, in his had examining it and looking at it's blue surface and running his fingers over the red lines, wondering what was in it. He hadn't felt right opening it when everyone was in such a mood. He was starting to get close to the river, he could tell by the low roar of moving water. He took a deep breathe and looked around. It was a less dense area of the forest that had a lot of bushes and extremely long green grass, there were all kinds of trees around, along with an assortment of Pokémon, spotted a flock of Pidove flying above and a Minchino on a tree branch trying to get an apple. He made his way past the last couple of Oran berry trees and saw the river, it glistened brilliantly with the afternoon sun shine bouncing around the translucent waters.

He saw Layla sitting in the shallows of the river, her head was on her knees and Aqua was swimming not to far away looking somber and idly poking at an Alomomola that was swimming around Aqua looking for any injuries. "She's probably crying again... crap." Ander thought awkwardly not really knowing how to cheer her up or knowing what to say... He didn't really have any experience in this field since Jesse never really got sad and he didn't really interact with anyone enough, besides his family, to know the proper way to handle such a situation. Although he would try anyway because he couldn't not do anything... He then started wading his way through the water making his way towards Layla.

When Ander came up to Layla he looked at her more carefully her jean short were darkened by the water and her white tank-top was going see through at the bottom, he instinctively blushed at this and looked up. But it was when he saw her eyes that his heart broke, her eyes were rimmed red from the tears and they just looked so helpless and sad.

"Hey..." was all he could manage as he took a seat next to her in the cool water.

"I'm not crying, I just... got something in my eye..." She said in a weak attempt to cover it up because she hated crying even though that's all she'd been doing lately.

"Sure you're not. So... do you think maybe we should... get going now?..." Ander said in a low voice not wanting to really say it.

"Why? It's only noon... the sun won't go down for another couple of hours?" the young girl said in a weak voice, hoarse from all the crying, running he fingers through sandy brown damp hair, not really understand what Ander had truly meant.

"No... I mean... like moving on... going forward..." Ander said feeling bad, he felt even worse when his new companions face started looking like it had just slapped. Her face contorted into a mixture of sorrow, disbelief and anger.

"It's just that Jesse and I were thinking that may-" Ander was cut off in the middle of his sentence when Layla jump to her feet and yelled, the tears welling up in her eyes.

"You mean Jesse thought! You never think for yourself Ander! I don't understand why you have such blind loyalty to the man when he treats you like crap! Do you have any self respect?!" She yelled slurring towards the end of the sentence.

"You don't understand Jesse has always been there for me, I'm just trying to help y-" Layla cut off Ander again, who was still sitting in the water looking down at his feet

"No! I don't understand and I don't care anymore! Screw you and screw Jesse! This is all your fault! I wish we'd never have met!" She lashed out at Ander, before she could even see his reaction she returned Aqua to her Pokéball and ran towards the woods.

Ander just remained there frozen, feeling like he'd just had the air knocked out of him. He didn't know how to act, all he was trying to do was help... and now it had all just been thrown back into his face. Jesse might have been a self-centered, egotistical, jerk that didn't always treat him right but Jesse had never hurt him like he was just hurt. Jesse had never let him down. Jesse had always been there for him. Jesse was the one that stood up to the kids that picked on him when they were little. Jesse was the one that always stayed with him when his parents were out of the country or to busy with research. Jesse was the one that protected him. Jesse was the one that loved him. Jesse was the one that took care of him. Jesse was the one that picked up the piece after his twin sister died and her body went missing... Jesse was only person he'd ever trusted completely. "He's my brother." Ander thought, not caring that they weren't related, in Ander's mind Jesse was all the family he had.

---

"I hate them! I hate them! I hate them! They don't even care that Boarus is gone! This is their fault!" she thought venomously, emphasizing the words them, they and their in her mind trying to separate her self from the boys. She ran through the woods in her soaked clothes not paying any attention to her surroundings. She just wanted to get to the camp ground to confront Jesse, she wanted to fight him, yell at him, tell him what a horrible person he was, but mostly wanted to blame him.

When Layla arrived at the their camp ground her eyes scanned for him, searched for him, but she couldn't find him. She looked around the camp grounds, stomping in fury, her eyes darting from place to place searching for her prey and then she heard a rustle in his tent. She ran over to Jesse's tent and ripped it open. She was appalled and disgusted! How could he be sleeping when her Boarus was missing! How could he be laying there without a care in the world?! She looked at him for a whole minute just staring and then she snapped.

"BASTARD!" she yelled in a white rage, hitting his leg, pulling at it, screaming like a banshee and crying at the same time.

"What in the name of God are you doing?!" Jesse yelled, furious to be woken up. His face scowled and his fists balled up and Lillyel right next to him, jumped up and hissed all while she started shaking her head leaves as a warning.

"You turned Ander against me! You don't care that my Pokémon is gone! You're sleeping! This is all your fault!" she yelled spitting out each accusation like it was a bullet. This only fuelled Jesse’s rage further. He pushed her out of his tent stood up and looked at her menacing while she was on the ground.

"My fault?! Are you kidding me! Stop playing this damn blame game! This is not my fault and it's not Ander's either! It's all on you, bitch! You're the one that lost your battle, not us! The only person you can blame is yourself! You're pathetic! Maybe if you'd got your head out of your ass and you stop feeling so sorry for yourself, you'd see these people are long gone and it's just wasting our time staying here and Boarus is just getting further and further away! Now get the fuck out of my face!" Jesse made each word seem like acid to Layla. The way he yelled them at her made all the anger vanish from her body and all she wanted to do was run. The waterworks started again and she pulled herself off the ground, ran to her tent, grabbed her bag, and sprinted straight to into forest.

She ran as fast as her exhausted body would let her, she put everything she was into getting as far away as she could. She wasn't just running because Jesse scared her, but she was running away from the truth of his words... Then she hit the ground hard. Her foot had caught a root and she collided with the ground face first. Then the tear really started, she laid there crying for hours, not moving, not bothering to wipe the dirt and leaves off her face and body. "It is my fault! It's all my fault! They just tried to help and I treated them like trash! It's all my fault!" She thought finally coming to the realization. She cried till she couldn't cry anymore and by that time it was already well into the night. She was hungry and thirsty and tired and felt like her head was going to explode. She finally mustered up enough strength to sit up, picked up her purse and look for something to eat. She rummaged through it and eventually found a Oak Granola bar, but her hand had picked up something else too...

It was a Pokéball... She didn't recognize it. It wasn't hers, she knew that... But then why did she have it? She remembered something about Jesse and Anders trying to give her something... Was this it? Did they give her a Pokémon?... Again she started crying not because of Baorus but because of the way she treated her two friends... "Ander must hate me... He did nothing but be there for me and I threw it all in his face and then some... I practically attacked Jesse... Oh my gosh..." She thought as the tears started pouring down far harder then they had before. "Stop this bullshit Layla! You're not this girl! You are not gonna lose yourself when never something goes wrong and break down over some hardship! You're better and stronger then this. Now march your ass back there and apologize to those boys that were nothing but kind to you and beg for their forgiveness!" she thought suddenly encouraging herself. She picked up her weak body and forced it to go back.

It took her the remainder of the night to make her way back to the camp. She'd actually gotten much further into the woods then she had thought. When she'd stumbled into their camp site Jesse and Ander were sitting around a little fire making breakfast. She got about halfway there when she collapsed. Jesse and Ander noticed her just as she fell and Ander sprinted towards her and Jesse came at his own pace.

"Are you okay?!" Ander said shocked and worried,

"I'm so sorry... both of you... thank you so much..." She put her hand on Ander's face as she whispered this and then she blacked out.

---

Layla woke up in a tent under her sheets feeilng refreshed and clean. "Why do I feel clean... I should be filthy?" she whispered to herself completely puzzled. She looked around, it seemed daylight judging by how bright it was, she got up and left the confines of her resting space. The sun was half hidden by thr cloud but the light hurt her eyes no less. She was so confused.

After leaving her tent she noticed she had clean clothes on... The boys must have cleaned her up and changed her clothes, this would have caused her to freak out and feel violated a few days earlier but it only warmed her heart now that one or both of them cared enough to clean her up. Even thought she didn't deserve it. She saw Jesse playing with Lillyel and Ander making some kind of food while his Jigglypuff, Truffles, sat on his head not moving. Jesse noticed her presence first.

"Well, well, well look what decided to come back to the land of the living." Jesse said nonchalantly, Layla was surprised there was no more hostility then usual in his voice. This caught her off guard seeing the last time they spoke he practically tore her a new one...

"Thank goodness you're okay!" Ander ran up and hugged her, this was even more of a shock to her because last time she'd spoken to him she might as well have kicked him in the balls. But she just hugged him tightly back. She stayed hugging him for a while before she whispered "I'm so sorry..." into his ear, then Ander simply whispered back "I know what it's like to loose someone." He gave no further explanation and just left it at that.

Ander took her to sit down. He gave her food and explained that she had been unconscious for the past three days. She apologized about thirty more times and she noticed that even though Ander had hugged her he was sitting opposite from her next to Jesse. She realized how much she must have hurt him and she was determined to fix what she'd been broken. Then she remembered.

"Oh, why do I have an extra Pokéball?" Layla asked genuinely intrigued.

"Well, it's yours... Jesse snagged it from the thugs... he kept the egg and gave me and you a Pokéball. You only noticed now?" Ander said somewhat distantly, Layla knew she had a lot of fixing to do. She was about to speak when Jesse started to talk,

"Don't say anything. You're keeping it. I got hit in the head with a branch for it. It's yours, you're welcome. Now you guys need to open them I wanna know what they are." He said with finality in his voice and a twinkle in his eye clearly genuinely excited to see what Pokémon they were.

"What? Why haven't you looked?" she said her voice thick with confusion, before Ander had a chance to say anything Jesse spoke.

"He said it didn't feel right to open them at different times." Jesse said in a annoyed voice, clearly thinking this was a stupid idea. Layla thought it was the sweetest thing anyone could have done. Ander blushed and looked at the grounded. Layla just got up and walked way, Jesse and Ander were both confused by this and then Layla walked back toward them with her new Ball in hand, smiling wide and dark green eyes dancing wildly and her sandy her blowing in the wind.

“Well, I guess lets find out then. Come one!" Layla said actually excited at the aspect, it was the first time she wasn't sad in the past two weeks. She and Ander both lifted up their Pokéball, pressed the center button and threw them up in the air. They opened with a brilliant flash of white and radiant energy started pouring out and materializing on the ground. As the two creatures appeared, Jesse burst out in boisterous laughter.

***

Two towns over, in Driftveil City in an abandoned warehouse, in the warehouse district of downtown Driftveil, a group of people were converging. They were eating and laughing and fighting one another. They all wore tattered clothes, and looked somewhat dirty each had a rough almost dangerous appearance. These were the type of people you'd cross the street to avoid. At a table in the middle of this mad house three figures sat.

"We gots a lot of valuable Pokémon, da collectors should be happy! We can even take da extra and sell dem on da black market boss." A brute of man said excitedly in his dumb sounding voice. He looked about 30 with short thick black hair, he wore only a denim vest that exposed his thick sinewy muscles, the man was built like a brick house, his face was somewhat forgetable nothing magnificent nor grotesque.

"Shut it you idiot! But yes boss we have collected a large range of Pokémon the balls have been shelved and the one without have been caged. All is going according to plan." A haggled women said in her shrew voice. She was thin and her skin was extremely pasty, almost gray. Her hair was matted, dish water brown. She had think wispy lips, a square jaw and a sharp jagged nose. Her features we're unique but she would never be considered beautiful.

"Thank you, Delilah and Rex. Let's keep up this work ethic." Said the bald headed leader in a deep masculine voice. He wore a black leather jacket that was ripped and dirty. He had tattoo running up to his neck along with his wide nose and beady eyes he was quite intimidating.

Then with no warning at all the iron door at the entrance flew clear across the room and hit the wall with a load clunk that echoed in the large spacious warehouse. A black figure stood where the thick iron door once resided. The figure was completely engulfed by a midnight black shadowy smoke. It strolled forward slowly and menacingly. Everybody in the gang was absolutely terrified and fear shook them to the core, they all knew this meant only one thing. Judgement.

"A-and t-t-t-too what do we owe the honor, Agent of Judgement..." The leader said fearfully. His bravado of masculinity broken. His legs were starting to shake and he felt the urge to vomit but choked it down.

"Buahahaha!" laughed the dark shadowy figure, in a way that made everyone in the building cringe, "The Covenant has heard of your division. It's time we convene." continued the darkness in a clearly feminine voice.

"T-T-The e-e-entire Covenant of F-F-F-Five?" Asked the terrified Delilah looking even more pale then usual, near the point of hyper-ventilation.

"Y-y-y-y-es!" mocked the murky darkness in a voice that rang with joy. They were all terrified because the Agent of Judgment almost never came with good news and it was rumored that when all five of the Covenant came to convene it meant certain massacre.

And then with no warning four figures appeared next to the Agent. They weren't cloaked in a darkness so foul that it brought fear and revulsion, they were cloaked in a foggy light that was so beautiful it brought peace and serenity instantly. The contrast was extraordinarily drastic with three figures of light one side of the darkness and another on the other side. They formed a pyramid, the figure of light in the middle was the largest and most beautiful and next to him stood the vile darkness. The onlookers had no idea what to think some were entranced by the light, others hypnotized by the abyssal silhouette.

"The Covenant of Five has come to lay judgment upon this division. You have broken our law. You have had attention brought upon yourselves and in turn have threatened to expose us. You have been operating as a group of common criminals." All five of the figures said in perfect synch.. It was dazzling and dizzying to a majority of the onlookers, one of the women even passed out not being able to handle the sensory overload.

"Who is the leader of this unit?" asked the figure on the left of the tallest most middle figure, in a voice that was so glorious and angelic that some of members mouths dropped open. There was no answer.

"I said who is the leader of this unit!" shouted the light in such a malevolent yet beautiful way that some of the members ears started to bleed, there were a few shrieks of terror but they were ignored.

"I-I am..." said the bald man openingly quivering.

"What say you in your defence?" cooed the wicked abyss.

"W-we were p-p-posing as one of the local gangs to avoid d-d-detection... We had n-n-n-no chance of being caught." he said looking as if he was bout to burst into tears and fall to his knees.

"Still your methods were crud and attracted to much attention. Your punishment shall not be as severe as intended but you shall be punished non the less, to make an example." spoke the head of the pyramid this voice was even more brilliant then the previous voice. And just as quick as they appeared, the figures consumed by the brilliant smoky light had vanished. Leaving only one figure left. The darkness now stood alone. Without the light to less it the shadowed figured appeared even more malevolent and wicked then before, fear and terror spread through the room like a disease.

"Your punishment shall be... the Hell hounds." sang the Agent of Judgment cruelly, letting out a giggle that echoed pure evil. There were gasps around the room at this punishment. The Hell Hounds were greatly feared by all of the Order. The Hell Hounds were a punishment more cruel then death. Then out of the shadowed figure crawled and clawed three more entities. These walked on all fours and were less vague in appearance then the Abyss.

They were distinguishable. The first stood in the middle, easily the height of a child, it‘s thick coat glistened brilliantly with darkness flowing off of it, it was clearly an Arcanine. The second flanked to the right, it like the first oozed a darkness but it was smaller, it’s coat was shorter and it had two large horns with a pointed tail, it was clearly a Houndoom. The last flanked the right, it was less menacing the other two but far more beautiful it had dense silky coat, brilliant red eyes and nine glorious tails like the others it was shrouded with darkness, it was unmistakably a Ninetales.

Then without another word the three beast darted toward the leader and ripped him apart, piece by piece each bite burning with an agonizingly intense heat . His shrieks of agony were only heard for a minute until they where cut short and everything went mute.

"You" the figure pointed at Delilah "Are now the leader of this division. You are to act like members of the Order should. Should I return for any reason, I will personally over see to the annihilation every one in the build and the punishment shall be far worse then the one dealt today." threatened the murky dark figure. It slowly dissolved into the air taking the Hell Hounds and all evidence of the previous leader with it.

Next Chapter: Clash of the... Titans?

(If this chapter was boring for anyone I'm sorry. It was mainly to develop the characters and introduce the main Villainous group and bring the plot along. The next one should be less of a bore and should be done in a couple of days. Thank you for reading.)
