According to this site, the four symbols behind the Mew picture are "Birth, Enthronement, Right of Succession and Death." Is this true? If so, how can we tell? What does it mean? And why oh why hasn't this ever been played upon with the Mews from the anime?

I think, that must be Mayan writing. I don't know much more than that - perhaps you could locate someone who knows more in the History or Archaeology or Linguistics department of a nearby university.

That is totally wrong. The Ancient Mew card is just a regular card written differently to appear mysterious or whatever. At Pokemon League, they gave us an official translation of the card after the 2nd movie, and it was just like any other Pokemon card.

That's the card's text. The symbols used for the text represent English letters, even on the Japanese card. The symbols in question here are in the illustration.

Yes, the text on the card is simply English in runes.

What he's talking about isn't the text, but the illustration.

It's just another one that really doesn't have much to do with the animé (they never, EVER do).
