Angelina Jolie wants to run for president of the US.

The 'Changeling' actress is so "stirred" by her humanitarian work for the United Nations, she is reportedly planning to get into politics.

A friend told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Angelina has admitted she's getting bored with Hollywood. She said she's now got her sights set on Washington.

"She is passionate about people's rights, war and justice and thinks she can get more hands-on and make even more of a difference by getting into politics. She admires President Barack Obama and thinks she could make a big difference too if she were in his position."

The 34-year-old star - who raises six children, Maddox, seven, Pax, five, Zahara, four, Shiloh, three, and 11-month-old twins Vivienne and Knox with partner Brad Pitt - has now set her sights on becoming the first woman in the White House.

The friend added: "I would place a huge wager on her becoming the first female president within the next 20 years. When Angelina sets her mind on something, she goes all out to do it.

"She's very determined and gets very stirred by her UN work. She is well respected for her humanitarian work and I'm sure she would make as many waves if she moved fully into the political world."

Is this a joke article or something? Is this supposed to be a spoof on how some people end up running for office? I can't take this seriously, it's too unbelievable to be real.
 
Oprah or Hiliary Clinton has a better chance of being president before she does.

But Angelina would be doing better than Palin.

Does she have anything more than vague hopes for the country?

I'm not quite sure what to say here.
 
I don't quite know what to say, but if I could and she was good at being in politics and was doing a good job, then if I could, I'd vote for her. I wouldn't just because of who she is, she'd have to prove she can do it and make a difference first. She'd be not only the first woman president, but the first president who was in movies before they became president (is that right? I am not too go with a lot of past presidents)
 
As much as I love Angelina, I'd probably only vote for her [without experience] if she was running against Palin. Then again, that would be an exciting election because we'd be guaranteed to have the first female President.

Because unfortunately the world has decayed and corrupted so much politics have become no more then a beauty pageant for old people.
 
Why is everything a popularity contest nowadays? Why can't people pick someone based on their skills and not because they're good-looking?

Because the media couldn't find anything better to talk about than Sarah Palin's 144 (K) shoes and Obama's shirtless pics. This way, they don't have to look for real stories when doing coverage!

As I said the world is slowly decaying. Everyone will become a mindless bot controlled by the media and the pretty faces of the world. Those though with a mind sharp enough to see through this evil will revolt. They will cause anarchy and cause a revolution in the slowly decaying unison so called perfect world the beautiful faces will try to create. Now if you excuse me I have a guy fawkes mask to polish.
 
Just because Angelina starred in a few movies, it doesn't mean she's any less smart or skilled than Palin.
