Anime BG music?

I looked through all the albums, and noticed that the Anime Sound Collection is the only album with actual BG music from the series. I'm wondering if there is any album released with BG music passed the kanto series? I have been specifically looking for this:

I know a good bit about pokemon BGM ...unfortunately, I don't believe this piece has been released on CD. You're right, it's mainly just the Sound Anime Collection (and a few others sporadically) that have been released. :(
 
That track is actually on a CD called Pokemon Sound Picture Box Mewtwo no Tanjou. It is from the first Pocket Monsters Movie, and is titled Kiseki no Namida (Track #22), or Miracle tears.
 
WOW, thanks a million! I actually thought the score in the english version was the same as the japanese. Seems as if I need to do a little bit more research.

The part where Ash leaves Lapras has the same music in both versions however in the English version an instrumental of The Time Has Come plays during the flashback.
 
What's the name of the song at the beginning of DP136 (Gateway to Ruin!)?
 
I'll update this post later with Amazon.com links. But basically, you can get background music on the following four CDs:

- Pocket Monsters Sound Anime Collection. It's been out of print for years and years now, so it's a bit hard to find. It has most - but not all - of the music heard in Kanto.
- The Advance Adventure single has a few Houen pieces like the Pokemon Contest theme and the Magma-Dan / Aqua-Dan themes.
- The Polka O'doruka? single has some Houen Rocket-Dan music.
- Genki Ippai, which has some music from G/S and R/S but also has some repeats of tracks that were featured on the Pocket Monsters Sound Anime Collection.
- The music from the movies is used in the TV series all the time, so pick those CDs up if you like the movie stuff.

Also, I wanted to give you guys a friendly reminder not to post links to downloadable music.
 
Wasn't there a release that at least had Ash's DP theme on it? I have that song, but I can't remember from where.

Oh yeah! From the looks of the Bulbapedia page, it seems to have two other BGM tracks from DP. Guess that's another disk for the list.
