As a con staffer and congoer myself, I suddenly became quite curious as to whether or not anyone else here goes to any of the conventions around the country. So, am I alone in my attendance, or are there other people here that celebrate their fandom in such a way?

I've been to both Otakon and Katsucon for the past 3 years which are held in Baltimore and DC respectively. As many fond memories as I've had over the course of the three years, I may have to reconsider going to the next two as I sort out real life issues and may soon have to focus on the prospect of working.

I've also attended Anime USA for a day which is also located in the DC area, but that was just once to meet some friends.

I've been to a small anime convention. It's a convention that no one has ever heard of, because it's not very well known yet. Anyway, it's called Tsubasacon (it was held in Charleston, WV the first two years - then they moved it to Huntington).

Early this year, around March, I went to Tekkoshocon for my very first time. It's an anime convention that's held in Pittsburgh, PA.

That was a lot of fun! And also, I plan on going back to Tekkoshocon with my anime club next year! ^_^

I use to go to Fanime Con in San Jose/Santa Clara, but I haven't been able to lately. Its pretty neat to see, but I guess I don't value going if they don't have good performers or guest that year...

Go to AnimeBoston regularly, and it's AMAZING. And Otakon, though I've only been once, is even better. (Though smaller cons have their charms.)

...seriously, the days spent at cons are probably the most enjoyable I've ever had. ^_^
