I've been poking around on Amazon for pokemon anime DVDs. I haven't really watched any of the Anime, and would really like to do so. As far as I can tell, there is no complete set of even the first season, thought I could be completely wrong.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in acquiring the DVDs of the Anime up to the current season? I am specifically looking for the American English dub, though anything with English subtitles will do in a pinch.

E-bay, look for long enough and you can piece together the whole of the first season, and you can even find it all in your region.

The first season is available in three separate box sets as of right now (I'm not sure if the last one has come out yet). Each set contains about 26 episodes, so it's not that bad of a deal (I'm guessing they go for 30-40 bucks a piece). There are also box sets for Pokemon Advanced, too.

Last set's coming out in February (I think Dogasu or Scott85 said that)

Deep Discount has them nice and cheap (though I just buy mine on coupons at Borders. Yay, Borders Rewards.)

On Amazon, just do a search for "Pokemon Indigo League" and you'll find the first two box sets of the first season.

I like Amazon (although I have to use .ca) for the free shipping.

I typed in a few things and I could make neither heads nor tails of all the dvds that were presented to me. Thank you for the help though, it should make it a lot easier :).

Dogasu has a great DVD guide here, which should help you find what you want in the stores.

Thanks for the compliment, Adamant.

I suggest www.deepdiscount.com. They'll have the cheapest prices and their shipping's pretty fast too.

As far as "up to the current season" goes...unfortunately, neither the "Battle Frontier" nor the "Diamond & Pearl" seasons have been released on DVD yet. So the most recent you can get with the DVD releases will be stuff that was dubbed in 2006.

Also, ALL of the DVD's released in the States are dub-only, so you won't have to worry about reading subtitles if that's not your thing.
